So, it's against Amazon's rules? Actually, it's against the rules on Craigslist as well. If you try this method there is a good chance the Craigslist post will be flagged or you'll lose your account on Amazon. That just means to be successful you have to figure ways to get around the rules or at least not get caught. Which is what makes it a blackhat method. lol

I think that most of classifieds allow this, and you can promote other Affiliate programs, not just Amazon, so this can be solved.

i see the problem in this case is the same as always: a lot of people who read the thread want to replicate exactly what OP does using the exact same site and the exact same network for monetizing

however OP even mentioned that he doesn't use CL for this, but other classified sites
idk why everybody's talking about CL
classified sites =/= only CL

OP's method works, the other method what the other guy posted above also works, you just need to replace a few or even just one piece of the puzzle

Amazon doesn't like this? fine, let's find a network which does, you can't find any affiliate network for this? no worries, there are countless CPA networks (but you need to make sure that they allow classifieds promotion, i prefer being straight w/ the AMs, so i just tell them what they need to know about the traffic source, if they allow it, it's fine, if not, i just switch between networks)
you can't post on CL? no problem, there are other classified sites out there, sure thing that CL is the biggest, but why not post on a bunch of smaller ones instead to get similar results?!

I tried this awhile back. I didn't keep at it. But you will get clicks on your affiliate link 100%. I didn't get any sales. But I did get clicks. Choose your product wisely

this is a method yes, but too much work it seems for a little return, plus CL is cluttered with crap like this. Whats the conversion ration on this? seems pointless to even do this really ....

Now think of the potential if you had a good working bot that would post hundreds/thousands ads per day.

To avoid being slapped by amazon wouldn't it be safer to place a link in the ad to a website with images of the alleged product and then direct them to the amazon link from there. I'm thinking it would look more innocent from the classified site point of view and I doubt you'd be breaking TOS then.

Or would this hit conversions too hard??

Just a thought.

PS. I'm guessing a link to a website with a simple redirect script set up would be detectable???????

This is very easy income, you just need to add a twist to this.

Also, CL isn't the only classified ad site out there.

Yeah absolutely. My post was actually just in reply to the previous post by givensia.

The point I was making is just that this is a totally viable method that's been used by many people for years and there's no reason to be afraid of doing it now. As you and others have mentioned it doesn't even have to rely on any particular classified site or affiliate program. Just pick some good converting offers and find the right sites to post on and it shouldn't take much to do even better than the $10/day in the thread title.

also if i put this on my website too from the same account is it legal?

can i use the same code on craiglist or other classified website as well?
