Journey to $100 per day

I discovered IM a little over a month ago, and have been completely consumed by it spending every free minute I have reading these forums. I believe the information available on this forum is invaluable, and hope that I too can become successful in the business. Currently I'm 26 working a sales job part time, while being a full time student. The goal is to make $100 per day, which would allow me to comfortably quit my job to better focus on my IM empire, and school.

The plan:
Youtube + Clickbank

I signed up for clickbank a few weeks ago and started researching products that I could promote via youtube, google, and seo. This is my first try so only time will tell how my choices turn out, but here is some of the info.

Product 1: Aprox 8100 searches per month, low competition - current ranked video 30k views
Product 2: Aprox 5500 searches per month, low competition - current ranked video 5k views

I created two videos talking about the product and showing some of their features, and got these put onto YouTube. I already had a website so I created a few subdomains, rerouted them to the affiliate link, and placed them in an annotation on each video. I also used TinyURL to get links in my description, with some keywords. Now I'm just trying to get the videos to rank.

GSA Captcha Breaker - purchased

I have GSA currently running for the two videos with teir 1 searching for high pr websites (1 - 6), social bookmarking, social networking, and web 2.0. The process is slow, but tier 2 and 3 are more open and growing quick.

Both of my videos ranked on the first page of YouTube with one of them already sitting at #2, and the other is #5 or #6. I haven't ranked on the first page of Google yet, but one of the videos is #5 on the video search tab so hopefully it keeps moving up!! I've only been at it a few days, but I'm already loving this so much and having fun doing it. I'll continue researching products with a goal to get 5 - 10 quality videos ranked on Google.

I've been reading into email listings, and apartment websites, so I might try that with some CB+YT stuff.

I'll keep this thread updated as things change, but for now it's time to grind for that first sale. Any advice is always welcome, but for now I'll continue browsing the forum.

Good luck. Whatever you do just don't give up and it's possible. After I created my first website, in one day I made $200! I thought I struck it rich and it was too easy. But I got nothing for the next 6 months lol. It's a game of patience and trying different things.

I don't think it's getting a ton of traffic yet. The videos both show 301+ but I'm pretty sure 99% of that is from u2bviews. I'll pull the videos off of there in a few days and see how the counter looks.

1. Browse CB looking for products between 0 - 20 gravity.
2. If the product has professional page than...
3. Search product on Keyword Planner.. If keyword has decent amount of searches with closely related keywords, and is low competition than I throw it into the actual google search engine checking for two things. 1. How many results are there, and does the search have a video on first page of google. I try to keep the search results under 10mil
4. Check the video on first page of Google, when was it uploaded and how many views are there. I do some math and try to find a product video that averages 300+ views per month.
5. Search product on cbengine, try to make sure it has decent % of sales coming from affiliates.
6. Learn about product, make video, and SEO it to death.

Update:

I found a third keyword to try and rank, got another video on YouTube, and I'm also now attempting to SEO it to the first page. The other two videos haven't moved, but I'll continue to be patient waiting for them to rank.

In the mean time I came across a post on here with some good FB info (I tried to post the link, but I'm too new). Last night I scrapped 28k facebook emails all related to a single niche, and purchased a domain name. The squeeze page, and thank you page have been put together offering a free 'ebook' and CB offer both related to the niche.

I was hoping to import the list into aweber sending an email linking to the squeeze page to attempted and get real, valuable subscribers until I found out aweber only allows 2k to be imported per day. Does anyone know a way around this? Should I just import and email 2k every day to try getting the list to grow, and could I face any real legal trouble because of this?

Update:

Well I haven't updated this thread in a few days, but that doesn't mean I haven't been busy! My YT + CB Videos have not ranked or made me any money, but I'll continue working to rank them. I've also completed and put out an amazon affiliate website that I'm currently trying to rank. I found some good low comp keywords to work with, I just need to get some traffic to the website to see a few bucks come in. Now I'm finishing up a squeeze page / thank you page to promote my 10 day free get healthy ecourse in exchange for a name and email. I started a pinterest account earlier this week with the goal to get followers and use it to link to my ecourse. I had about 50 followers, but today it exploded and I jumped from 50 to around 130. I hope I continue getting organic growth like that, and I'll reach my 10k follower goal in no time.

I also think I might start a blog to better document my journey, because why not? This is fun. ;D

Update:

Just a quick update. My videos are starting to gain more traction on YouTube, gaining more views by the day. Still no sales, but hopefully it wont be too long.

I also redid my affiliate website switching the niche and keywords a bit. Redesigned it, added a few more pages and put together a decent GSA project. I started the project Sunday and currently my website has jumped to 27 on google for the keywords! I'm hoping to make front page in 1 - 2 weeks. Organic hits from all over the world have started coming in, and it's getting me excited

School started so it's hard to dedicate as much time, but I have no plans to stop.

Update:

Just throwing another quick update out here. Friday marks two weeks since I launched my affiliate website and started the GSA campaign to rank it. Currently my money site is sitting at #23 for the main keyword (6600 searches per mo) and #15 for the secondary keyword (760 searches per mo). I have still made $0 however my website is starting to generate more organic traffic every day, so hopefully it wont be too much longer. Not only is my website traffic slowly building, but people are clicking through to my affiliate links as well. I'm addicted to looking at my google analytics, and affiliate clicks on an almost hourly basis..

Okay, next update I hope to have made my first sale!! WISH ME LUCK

YES!!!! I MADE MY FIRST COMMISSION!!!

Okay so it's been a few weeks since I updated, and man have I been busy. I started a tier 2 and tier 3 campaign for my affiliate website, and about two weeks ago I started doing some white hat seo too. Traffic has been gaining slowly, and I'm addicted to looking at the clicks every day. I'm not sure whats going on becuase I was averaging 30 - 40 clicks per day, but today it's sitting at 105...... AND I GOT MY FIRST INTERNET MONIES EVER!!! $7.44... It might only be a few bucks but damn I'm so incredibly stoked right now. I've been working on a few other websites too, so this just motivates me to finish them so I can start trying to rank..

Now that my goal to make $1 is out, I'm going to try and shoot for 1 sale a day.

95% of my free time is dedicated to working on these websites, and I hope that I can see further success through this dedication. TODAY IS A GOOD DAY PEOPLE!
