[Help] Lost my way, Need some direction

I know you guys have a big heart & you are willing to help someone in need. I am not a noob trying to get spoonfed on ways to make money I just need some direction from you guys because I am lost & I can't think straight.

I've been in IM for about 3 years now and there were lots of ups and downs, more downs to be honest. This is defenitly not for the faint hearted. I've had a couple of breaks in making money but nothing big, the biggest method I ever had is still making me around $20 daily which is not enough.

Well I've been trying really hard this year to increase my income, Ive worked on countless projects but I am sick of working on projects that have no success, I don't know how you guys do it seriously. The biggest demotivator this year was working on a big SAAS project for 4 months+ only to be a big FAIL again. This has affected me morally and now I'm stuck I don't have any idea what to do nor do I have the motivation.

I've developed countless bots that are really powerfull but after using them I've never really made anything back. The thing is that now i've lost faith in myself & I can't get out of this loop. I've tried having a break from work but it didn't work.

I am thinking that finding a full-time job would be the best thing for me right now, you know something to wake up for in the morning.

My first 2 years in IM I made like 20 bucks total. I tried many methods and failed. Then one day, just 1 of my methods worked, and I put all my resources into it (got it up to about 35 bucks a day).

I was so happy at that moment because I could see a direct path to success. All I had to do was scale up that method because I knew it worked for me. I invested a huge amount of money into it but I also got laid off from my day job and decided I didn't need to look for a new one. I was at a point in my life where I felt so sure about what I wanted to do and how I was going to pursue IM full time. This was of course until panda came along... and crushed all my sites overnight.. lost 95% traffic and revenue.

I kept clinging on to what I had, refusing to believe that this was permanent. Days and weeks passed by while my income was still virtually nothing (3-6 bucks a day). I couldn't understand how google would allow lower quality sites to rank above mine. I tweaked and tweaked my site but not even a single position change.

After doing a lot of extra reading, I made the difficult decision to start all over again and abandon my old business model, this time incorporating the knowledge I learned from my "failure". I created a few "authority" sized sites (blueprint only, hasn't reached the size yet) but a month went by and not a single buck came in, 0% CTR. Then all of a sudden (just like before), 1 of the sites jumped up and dominated 1st page google for all its keyterms. The site has been pulling a consistent 50 bucks a day for a while now and the last 2 days its pulled in 120+/day. (It wont last forever because the niche is not evergreen, but I am happy to milk it while I can

I never would have landed on this if I did not move on from my failures and keep trying. Most people never reach success because "most people give up just when they're about to achieve success"

I know its just a matter of time before my other "authority" sites start making money or I will cut my losses there and move on to a new project taking the experience with me. I usually give each project at least 6 months before I decide it's not going to work.​

This loop you are in happened to even the most successful people. The thing is, if you can get past this loop, you will be looking straight into the eyes of success. Giving up now is the only way you can fail.

Go get a 9 -5 job and work somewhere again. Find problems in the way they do things, think about how something could be automated and how you could add value. Stop thinking about the money and start thinking about creating something that YOU want to use.

Exactly what I was going to suggest. If IM is clearly not working for you, why not do it in your past time. Don't rely on it if it is clearly not giving you any income. Also by having a job, you'll have more money to put in your IM projects. Just don't quit yet, you just need to get over the hump and once you do it's going to make money.

Yeah, I wasn't suggesting that he do a 9-5 until he is 65 and then retire. It is good to have a change is scenery and do something different just to get your brain working in a different way.

I'd get a full time job for now so you have income to support you. Use money to invest into IM and do IM on the side.

If you think that you've created those (failures) blocks (in your mind), then it is only you who can help yourself break them. That can be DONE! That can be done in a day, or it can take a life time... Depends on a few factors, but the main factor is your own involvement. When do you think this began for the first time (a big and very unexpected failure incident that shocked your senses out, almost)?

I guess your biggest mistake is you're working on multiple projects. I never able to work into two project collectively so how you're working on multiple projects. If you need there is money on one project then try to scale it instead of diverting your focus, energy and time into different project.

Then you can never work as a good Project Manager in this industry until you have that experience of working on multiple projects simultaneously. Point is: People, even freelancers, work on many projects simultaneously. It's a routine phenomenon in the life of a working freelancer.

I can definitely relate to your situation but do not give up. I think a full-time job will certainly help you. Sometimes just having something to get up for can work wonders for your motivation. If you can find a job that is related to IM even better. Then simply focus on your own IM work in your spare time whilst you get everything together.

Thanks for your replies guys, it seems that most of you recommend that finding a job for now is the best option & I agree. I am giving myself till the new year to come up with a new stable source of income(4 months) than I will have to find a job.

See , it will change the things for you and you can any time do the part time IM with your job with fresh energy. please note 99% of people even on this forum had gone through same phase. Keep in mind you need to be try and try again and again.

Dude you are not working in an industry/company where you've different workers to assign work. I agree Freelancers work on multiple project but the amount of work they do in each project is limited however if you are working on method for e.g Youtube + CB method and its start beginning few dollars everyday then there are numerous keywords to scale things up, THEN there is no need to spend your energy and time on different method.
