Best Hosting Affiliate Program?

Which hosting affiliate program have you guys had success with? I'm looking for a hosting affiliate program which will give my customers the lowest initial investment, as well as pay. I've heard hostgator does not pay well. Which ones would you guys recommend?

Gotcha, I would at least give it a glance though. No upfront costs aside from having your own account. 25% on most if not all services. They also do game servers and a few other things.

i haven't seen any company pay up to 100. I am using bluehost affiliate program and they seem very good. They pay $65 per ref but you need to fill the tax form to be eligible for payments

Most the affiliate programs off CJ pay $100, I was just wondering which ones were the best to use. I dont' want my guys to have to pay for the entire year up front either. Is hostgator paying though? I'm connected through CJ, I heard they shave a lot though?

Yes hosgator pay and its easier to promote them with their $0.01 offer for first month

I've been doing some research lately. I've found some valuable information, but haven't settled on a program yet.

I've found that HostRocket pays $150, but haven't found many reviews. Apparently, they used to be shitty about paying people. I've also read that HostGator will ban your account for no reason, even if you're making lots of conversions.

ANY Web Hosting Affiliate Program is going to make you wait 45-90 days (some are even a full year!) before you can get paid. This is so that they can see if the lead is "qualified". (If the customers renew and if they will stick.)

I question these programs sometimes, though. Because iPage, for example, requires new users to pay a year up front (at least) and it's $42ish. Yet, they claim to pay $100-$150 and their wait time is 60 days before pay, I believe. It would take the three years to ALMOST break even on a $150 commission. Of course, they anticipate the upsell.

I haven't settled on one yet. I may end up going with iPage. I asked the live chat support what qualifies as a "qualified" lead, and they told me to just call to talk about it. (Although I was on the Affiliate Program page when it offered for me to chat with them if I had questions.)

Bluehost is one affiliate hosting program i can vouch for, they pay 90 days after your first two sales. Then start paying you even if you refer one person through your affiliate link.

They're plans are kind of expensive compared to the other companies though. Any month to month or cheaper yearly recommended companies?

digitalocean pays good, plus they are easy to sell since the community love them. you should check it out

Why would ipage make you wait when they're getting money a year in advance?

I don't know. That's what gets me. 1. It will take three years to almost break even. 2. You have to wait 60 days for pay, although they've already paid a year in advance. I think they make you wait because they try to make upsells in that 60 day period. I don't know, though. Stumps me.

The web hosting affiliate programs through CJ should be good. CJ would deactivate them if they didn't pay.

Let's do some math for a second. iPage offers web hosting for $1.89/mo if you sign up for 2 years. That's $45.36 for 2 years of hosting. How could they afford to pay a $250 commission on a $45.36 sale? They would have to keep a customer for 5 and a half years just to break even, right? You just made the mistake that most customers do. You imply that renewing with iPage will cost you the same as your initial payment. Nope. Their renewal price for that same 2 year account is $8.49/mo, or $203.76 for the 2 years. They can get away with this by burying it in their terms that the $1.89 is a promotional price.
