Hi great job on this software. I am testing the trial now and considering to buy this. My purpose for this scrapping is for gscrapper and scrapebox.

I have used scrapebox to scrape proxies for many times but the output is disappointing. With leaving it run 2 hours I may only get 25 google passes proxies. However NHS found at least 50 google passed in 1hours and its stability is so far so good.

I have set it to minimum anonymos though, havent try on transparent as well. Do you recommend that?

And what is the optimum setting to scrape most proxies that passed google? Can you recommend one? I am using 100 threads although test shows the maximum i should go for is 20.

I would definitely suggest to not limit by anonymity if your use is for scraping. It is a common misconception that proxies need to be anon or elite for scraping in Google but they really don't have to be and you will get a lot more if you do not limit them.

Another thing that some people tend to do is to over stretch their connection/system by using too many threads. It may be that your machine can utilise 100 threads without issue but you could always try lowering it to about 30 and increasing it gradually to find the real sweet spot. The thread tester checks to how many threads are usable before packets start getting lost so it can be a good starting point but it is not exactly 100%. If you are getting good results at 100 threads by all means stay at that but I would suggest to drop it down at some point and compare the results just to see if you get similar/better results at the lower thread numbers.

It definitely does appear that No Hands Proxies is the only tool able to harvest a significant amount of Google passed proxies right now (and for the past 7 months) though. With 35 threads and no anonymity limit I get about 200+ google passed proxies the majority of the time.

Thanks for reply. I tried yesterday with transparent minimum and pass google check can get around 200+ proxies. But the problem when i recheck the proxies with scrapebox, the number pass google dropped until 130+. I heard scrapebox results are not always right? So what is your advice to ensure the proxies are pass google before we input into our other software?

And also some suggestion maybe considered, can you add automation features to launch other software as Proxy Goblin did. What i mean is auto input the scrapped google passed proxies into the other software such as GSA, Scrapebox, UD, Senuke etc...

Thanks alot.

The thing with the way PG did things, back when it was still relevant, was that it never really worked properly. I can look into it but it would not be a priority as virtually every tool worth using has built in functionality for loading in proxies that actually works. I agree just ticking a box for a specific software may be useful in the short term but when things start to go wrong it is harder to figure out what is wrong and it does always have its quite major downsides.

For example with tools that do searching and posting (or any two different web request types) such as No Hands SEO, GSA, SB, Gscraper and many more it is not possible to distinguish between what proies to use for scraping and which to use for posting. This is the main thing that makes that sort of feature more a tick box on the sales page than an actual useful feature. In fact this can be quite a dangerous setting as people will rely on it thinking that everything is magically working when in fact it is running far less efficiently than if the tool was left to handle the proxies properly.

Even when PG was still working properly I would never have advised anyone use that feature with NHSEO.

love this tool =)

infact i use it with my nohandseo and gsa ser for public proxies =)but highly using it with my nohandseo tool =) for searching and a lil bit posting

Good stuff, thanks for the great review.

Just to reiterate what people have been saying about this proxy harvester I have quoted some reviews from this very thread below:

I tested the update button and downloaded the installer manually, both worked fine. Are you still having issues with this? There certainly should be no need to ever uninstall to install an update.

There already is an indicator of how long the tool has been running (harvesting and checking proxies), it is in the Log tab near the bottom it will say when it was started, also when you stop it it will show when it was stopped.

As I seem to be getting a bunch of support requests about low number of Google passed proxies I made this video about how to harvest and output Google passed proxies so if that is your jam there should be no confusion about how to do this, just follow the guide below and enjoy a ton of Google passed proxies:

Hi, just wondering, why I'm not getting hardly any proxies generated today. All I'm getting after say 30-40 proxies generated (non Google passed) is "Bad Proxy" after "Bad Proxy" in my log - thoughts and suggestions plz? My set-up (as far as I can see) is as per your vid above. [I DID update my NHProxies to the latest version earlier today, I have not used it often in the last few weeks.] Thanks for any feedback offered.

How long have you left it running for?

Thanks for your reply.
In answer to your question, not long - 15-25mins - it's just usually in that time, it generates a few hundred proxies. I'll try it again Wed and let you know!

Its probably just a bunch of bad proxies from one of the sources, it does happen from time to time but it could also be a hiccup in your connection. I wouldn't really draw any conclusions from a short testing run. Let me know how it goes next time you run.

I have problem when i exit the harvestor, My windows proxies wont change back to normal. Even i restarted my machine, the ip address seems still have problem. Even worse still, i cant log in back to nhp because of my internet connection down due to the windows proxies problem. How to solve this problem?

Are you sure that the "Anonymous" and "Elite" proxies harvest from NHP are really "Anonymous" and "Elite"?
I manually check (change the proxy on Firefox) a few of them and g00gl3 find my real IP in 8/10 of them. Only 2 out 10 look's really "Anonymous" and "Elite"...
Any idea?

Firstly you need to have the option to "Clear Windows proxy on Exit" enabled (default) and the settings saved and make sure that you close NHP by stopping the posting and then closing the app by clicking the X in the top right corner, force closing via task manager or system restart will not give NHP chance to remove the proxy.

There is a guide on the support forum which shows how to clear a proxy in windows, follow that to remove the proxy and you should be good to go again.

has anyone tried these with youtube? or MVB pro?

I don't use them for that purpose but maybe some other users could give their input on this.

Yeah, I just checked a bunch of proxies using Google and other IP checking services and when I set the random proxy to be Anon or better and passed Google (to check IP in Google) all were testing fine.

In FF you need to make sure that you have proxies being used for all services as some websites (Google included) will use https rather than http so if you don't have it set to use proxies on all services it won't use proxies when browsing Google.

If you are looking to just use the proxies in Google though you don't need anon proxies, trans proxies work just fine for searching in Google.

Should I scrape proxies from my VPS, or is it ok to do so from my home PC? After watching the intro video, I'm thinking the answer is dependent upon the number of threads I want to use. Is there any way I could get in trouble with my ISP if I use MAX threads from my PC?

Also, when I am using GSA SER to scrape URLS, we must use ANON or Elite proxies, correct?
Thanks

I doubt you would get into any trouble with your ISP for checking proxies though you may use up a chunk of your allowed bandwidth of your connection. I would advise to run NHP on whatever machine you are planning to run your posting software.

If you are using the proxies for posting you will probably want minimum Anon proxies, if you are using for searching you just want all Google passed proxies, google searching proxies do not need to be anon. Never limit google proxies by anonymity.

You can use this video guide here to see how to get and output proxies for posting and searching at the same time then all you need to do is import them to GSA and you should be good to go. The video is made for NHSEO but all of the parts on how to setup No Hands Proxies are the same.
