Hi guys, to cut a long story short I've always been a lazy SEO going for whatever tools I could find and until 18 months ago it always worked! Well... I've swapped and decided to build a private blog network (PBN) by buying expired domains (forgetting pagerank and going for pa/da or genuine education site links). I've built 10 sites and handwritten articles, all varying length but mostly between 300-700 words and been hosting them all on the same servers (still pretty lazy...)
I had been using SENuke twice a week (full monty plan - see I told you I was lazy) and after an initial boost very little was happening other than the sites were really erratic. I've been following 4 websites for my Private Blog Network which I started 5th May all in the same industry and fairly niche but quite competitive, and stopped using SENuke at the same time.
Site 1 - This site was #1 until I did a scrapebox blast on it the day after the first Penguin... it vanished off the face of the Earth. Whilst using scrapebox it would float between #60-80. Once switching to the PBN it hovered around #70-90, and has since rose to #50-60. So no major change... however.....
Site 2 - This site never did much, its probably more competitive that site 1, but I never got it high EVER. It followed a similar pattern to site 1, however (and this is the exciting bit that has prompted writing this update) it has just jumped to #9-13 for the main phrases. It jumped yesterday and has stayed there today!

Will I get much traffic from this change? Probably not... but I have done NOTHING else to this site - its probably had less links made on the PBN than the other sites as I was focusing on moving them up more, but something has worked. I've done an ahrefs check and all the top sites coming up for it now are PBN links.
So.... I'm hoping that this boost will hopefully pass onto the other sites as well in the coming weeks... fingers crossed. But it's proof that the PBN has took 2 months to create results after SENuke and crap link building.
Site 3 - I havent paid much attention too, it's been hovering between #5-7 for seemingly forever and hasnt really changed much.
Site 4 - This is the main site i've been targeting the links at, it's been at #4-6 for months, and has a high conversion rate so i've been trying hard to get it to #1 again so I can get some cash in the bank. So far it has crept to #2-4 since implementing the PBN so I thought the boosts from the PBN would be more stable than overnight leaps... however Site 2 has proven me wrong.
I provide this in the hope of being a bit like a diary and fingers crossed more results will be on the way!
I'm a happy converted lazy-seo into a pbn-seo now! Its been tough work building the PBN, but its quite fun if you make it that way, and if it's done properly then you dont have to do it again and again and again because the links are there to last and build authority over the coming years.
Hope this helps people and I hope I have some more exciting news soon and this isn't just an exciting blip.
