There is no way in hell that they can do that sort of thing. As long as people are using google for searching and those kind of stuff, SEO will still exist. It's going to be tougher for internet marketers to do their job now than it used to but they can't take out SEO EVER. Google is still finding a way to separate the organic sites and the SEO sites which they won't figure out at least for another few years maybe.

More than just SEO won't stop existing in 2015, unless we're to disbelieve everything G tells us about SEO(which has worked well so far), SEO as it stands today will continue for years to come.

So, you're saying that doing guest posts on another blog or article site - say the Huffington Post or Techcrunch - which then has an Author Bio section that has a manually placed link to your website - is black hat? Or that I have links back to my site from my LinkedIn, SoundCloud, Github, Facebook Page, Slideshare, Twitter, and multitude of other web 2.0 properties that I created..

Mmm... SEO will exist if one person is trying to do something to get a better position in the ranking of the search engines, and that will continue in 2015 and maybe in 2115.

Everybody want to be in the TOP 10 or better and there are more than 10 sites in every niche, so the Strategy to get a better ranking position will continue as far as Search Engines existis.

Or getting G+, Facebook shares, etc. using addmefast or whatever other tactic.
Using a tactic to have a better ranking is SEO and it will exists as long as search engines exists.

of course SEO will exist in 2015. Google is a multi-billion dollar company that has shareholders. It's not going to vanish overnight.

Things will always change in terms of how we rank sites, but I'm pretty sure we will always have organic results in the search engines.

The organic results are needed in order for Google to attract people to Adwords!

Plus Google is all about user experience and that means having organic results which means having SEO in some form. The only things that change or more like evolve are the processes.
