I just need some starter, kindling step by step that I know is going to work.
I suggest this is your problem, because I've seen this movie before.
You've had 18 years to do something and to start your recurring passive income stream, but you've been paralyzed because you've been looking for guarantees of success - you don't want to do something unless you know it's a 'sure thing'. And, because the pain of not doing something hasn't been strong enough to get you to do something, you've finally arrived at a point where the fruits of your inaction have ripened, and your income is rapidly drying up.
You now perhaps accept (at least, logically) that you NEED to do something, but that knowledge is made somewhat bitter by the fact that you also know you could have done something years ago, but you didn't.
The only thing that leads to reward is risk. If you do not take a risk, your rewards will be in short supply, as you're now experiencing. I would add, though, that I take the view your current business is FAR riskier than any online venture you could entertain, but that's entirely subjective.
The only thing you can do now is to take calculated and intelligent risks, perhaps a few at a time, and look for an improved situation as a result. Yes, it's a bad time for you to take risks, because just keeping your lights on is probably a battle for you now, and yes it's going to take much longer for you to scale up because of your now limited resources - however, your only other alternative is to stop what you're doing and die - and that's kinda boring.
Consider your current situation a blessing in disguise - if you decide to get through it (rather than giving up and telling yourself and the world stories as to why you did so), you will most likely end up with an income and lifestyle that far exceeds what you've had for the last 18 years - because you now no longer have the option to wait for a 'sure thing', and you must do something, and that might just lead you to taking the right kind of risk that will reward you.
A member here (trepanated, I think) has a signature that reads:
The best time to plant a tree was 20 years ago.
The second best time is now. I think that applies to you as much as anyone else - it's not too late for you to plant a tree, but it will never again be the 'perfect time', so waiting for that will just end badly.
Remember that
your resourcefulness is far more important than your resources.
If you do decide to take action, I'll be glad to have a skype call with you once a week for 30 minutes and give you the cold hard truth as I see it, as I have done in this post. I won't give you any methods that are 'guaranteed to work', I won't tell you that 'you'll be fine', I won't give you or ask you for a cent, I can't even tell you exactly what to do - I'll just give you my opinion on where you're headed, and that might just be the wake up call you need. You probably won't like it, but if you have the ability to stomach it, you'll come out of this situation with a life that you probably don't currently think that you can achieve.
