You should definitely use specialized twitter marketing software like TweetBoss to simplify your workflow. Using 2 different programs as you are seems overly complicated.

You can try using a virtual machine instead, there are a few quality Windows VM's for Mac's, search "Windows VM for Mac" to find them.

FollowLiker or Tweetadder. I use Followliker personally. If you only are using 1 account with it, the license is cheap enough to make it well worth the money. And as always, I am not affiliated.

Would you mind sharing your FollowLiker settings or provide some insight as to how to optimize it best? Any advice would be much appreciated.

for scheduling tweets from a lot of different sources you can try an online service called ifttt - you can add rss posts, posts from your other social accounts and more. As for the journey, good luck with it, keep at it and my advice is to do it with a few more accounts as well just in case something were to go wrong with just the one

Always remember to follow back because some of the people that are following you are also trying to do what you are doing. And people doing what you are doing will eventually flush those unfollowers, and you will lose a good amount if you don't follow back.
