Hi, I have one question If I may ask?
Do I need to supply my one proxy source or the program has its own sources, because I don't know where to find good proxy sources?

No Hands Proxies comes with the most up to date proxy source list of any I have seen and once it has tested all proxies from this built in source list will then start searching for fresh proxies to ensure that you are getting as many unique fresh proxies as possible.

You don't need to bring anything to get proxies with No Hands Proxies, it is all built in and ready to go.

It comes packed with everything no need for you to search around.

Thanks for replying.

Just testing it out, will see how it goes :).

Just purchased this Baby and putting her to the test!!!

Will update with a review after my test drive.

Let us know how you get on.

For anyone looking for reviews on No Hands Proxies here are just some of the reviews that have been posted in this thread since it has been posted.

I'm trying the trial version, everything looks great but the proxies i get are pretty darn slow. which filter must i apply for it to get the proxies with workable browsing speed?

The Connection Timeout is how long the proxy is given to respond. Set that to something less and it will only allow faster proxies through. Something like 3000 might be a good place to start, it will mean you get less proxies overall though. Just have a play around with the Connection Timeout setting and find a happy medium.

Is there a proxy that can hide the referrer and host location? E.g I don't want my tracking program to show that a click came from a proxy server.

Is it normal for it to not have any working proxies at a certain time of day? At GMT+8 after 6 PM it's completely zero.

seems very good
but my question it supprt also proxy with username and password ???

I don't know, some may do this but as you are harvesting public proxies it is likely the majority will not. If you want this you may want a specific type of private proxy that can be purchased / rented or some sort of specific software that will perform this duty for you.

No, definitely not. If you are not getting any proxies at any time you will have too many limits / requirements for your proxies. Settings that limit the number of proxies you will find are Timeouts (Connection and Read/Write), Anonymity, Region Filtering and Port Filtering. Also if you have changed the sources that could have an effect on it.

I have never seen an install of my own go lower than 1k working proxies and that is with low thread count.

You can check private proxies yes but I don't ever come across public proxies with user/pass combo so the proxies harvested will not use any user or pass as they just don't need them.

Hi jimbobo2779,

Your software looks great, but I don't think I'm using it correctly. I wonder if you can give me some pointers?

I want to use it to harvest from Google for Scrapebox.

So under Proxy Testing Settings I've ticked the 'check against Google Search' option and saved. Firstly, is this what I need to to to get a list of Google passed public proxies, or is there something else?

Then I start it running. It returns hundreds of working proxies quickly, but only a very small number have a tick next to 'Passed Website?'. Does this 'Passed Website' refer to it being Google passed for Scrapebox?

I output 2 lists of the working proxies - 1 without 'Google Search' ticked, and one with. Both lists are identica (around 500 proxies)l.

When I import 1 of the lists into Scrapebox to test them, only a small number (around 5%) are confirmed as Google passed.

Would you kindly show me what I'm doing wrong?

Thanks

The problem with SB is that it is quite a basic scraper and (correct me if I am wrong) doesn't allow you to load the proxies in periodically while scraping or posting. This means that you are only using a fresh proxy list when you start your scrape or post process. This will not stop you from being able to use the proxies however.

If you are getting the same proxies in both lists and SB is showing most proxies as not passing Google then you have not opted to "Only Output Website Passed Proxies" option when setting up the output job, do that and you will only get proxies that have passed the selected website check (i.e Google Search). You can verify this by looking at the output job in the list and if it doesn't say "Google Search" at the end then it isn't designated to output just the Google passed proxies.

The tick in the "Website Passed" column is indeed the proxies that have passed the website check (in your case Google Search)

It looks like you're correct - fresh proxies can't be added to SB while running. I'm new to this, so I'll probably add GSA SER to my arsenal once I learn the ropes with SB.

Right you are - I hadn't ticked the output box. After a few tests it yields a handful of usable proxies, which is fine for my needs. Cheers!

It should get far more than a handful of Google passed proxies, I have not seen the number of G passed proxies drop below 100 for a very long time, most of the time it is above 200.

I periodically post G passed proxies found from No Hands Proxies to this post here. As you can see from that post NHP should be getting 100+ G passed proxies pretty much at all times, all of those proxy lists were harvested using just 35 or less threads so it should be very capable of getting many proxies for searching not just a handful.

I'm not getting numbers like that.

How long do you need to keep NHP running to get these numbers?
Could my antivirus (Avast) or something else be blocking it?
I'm verifying the proxies using Scrapebox. Is there another way to do it, maybe a website or something?

Thanks again

Can't update to the latest version. I click to download and nothing happens. Are you guys having the same problems ?

I'm having the same problem, I try and update the software and nothing happens, I don't receive the update.

I doubt an AV would lower the amount of proxies you are finding. It is a common mistake that people assume that for Google passed proxies they must test for Anonymous or Elite which really limits the amount of proxies that will be found. For testing for Google Passed proxies all you need to do is to select Google Search from the Proxy Testing Settings.

It is also possible if you are running more threads than your connection can handle that a lot of your web requests required for testing will timeout which could result in working proxies failing the check, I am not saying this is the issue but it is something else to consider as it is abnormal to get low proxy numbers.

For some reason the latest update didn't complete the upload, I have since re-uploaded it so the update should work fine now.

I can't possibly express the gratitude I have for such an amazing program that works better than anything I have utilized in the past.

Thank you so much for this one stop proxy shop!

(Also, the update works fine now.)

I have been limiting to Anonymous and above, but this is interesting. From what I've read, proxies shouldnt be transparent otherwise Google can easily see what I'm doing (I read something along the lines that my IP address is still included, it's just in a different place).

Is this wrong and Transparent proxies are okay for Google scraping?

Yes update works now. Thanks

Thanks for letting me know.

Thanks for the great review, it really is that good isn't it :)

I don't know where you read that you needed anon or elite proxies for harvesting but it is definitely not true. You do not need nor want to be filtering for anonymous or elite proxies for harvesting, you want as many proxies as you can possibly get.

While it is true that you don't necessarily want Google or other search engines knowing what you are doing you are not showing them anything when you use proxies to scrape their results, you are just looking at listings as far as they can see and they don't see your postings because of this.

Newest update to the best Proxy Checker software ever being uploaded now. I suggest all to update as soon as is possible.

The best just keeps getting better!
