Hola BHW

Created this journey to keep me motivated. Not only the motivational factor, but also to get better at writing, faster and try to give much quality as possible.

Plan:
- Write 250 unique articles with the length 500-1200 words.
- Found a lot of keywords (longtails) with almost no competition on Google. Searches are low 200-1000 pr month
- When done writing, will submit 50 one day and 200 in the days after.

This will take some time, but my deadline is 01/08-2014. I have no money to invest, it's only me and my laptop/internet. The only thing I will purchase is a domain and hosting.

My journey motivation came from Zso -

You still gotta build backlinks for your website or it wont rank for those keywords. Only articles wont get you the rankings. Especially with a fresh domain.

Why dont you consider something like Squidoo and promote affiliate offers.

Don't you think with 250 articles, it will give the site some kind of authority?

When going for very low competition, where top10 result show other pr0 sites. My guess is they rank naturally - I don't know if it will, if not then backlinking is the next phase for me.

Thanks for the suggestion - I'm pretty hooked for a long term passive income instead - with articles and adsense.

Press forward. As you earn from the website, you can build links too if you feel you need. Just go for it. There will be many cheering you on here.

I like the idea of this journey. Rooting for you man, keep going strong even when you feel demotivated.

I'm sure it will all work out for you. Just make sure that you don't hit a lazy spell and do nothing, always make sure that some progress is being made.

Good luck and looking forward to hearing about your results.

I have a friend who is doing this exact same thing without building a single backlink and he is averaging $20 per day on Adsense. So, this should work for you as well unless you screw up your keyword research.

Did your friend really post 200+ articles to reach that $20? Seems like a lot of work for minute result, unless it escalates rapidly in the future.

Jaaaarghhh!

I did produced 3 articles today. I'm happy with todays progress.

Semi-Goal 01/06: 20 articles
Final Goal 01/08-2014: 250 articles
Done: 3 articles

Next update will be some time in next week.
Have a nice day, talk to you later.

How are you approaching your site's content? Will this be 250 articles on the same niche, or is it a massive site with many niches?

Good luck on your journey. Keep cranking out articles and keep us updated on your success.

I would also have to agree with the others and suggest posting your articles as you go along. It only makes sense to start building up your post count and making some money along the way.

Thanks for the support!

It's the same niche. The keywords have low search volume but almost no competition.
I found http://ezinearticles.com/ to be very handy, when I don't know what to write about. They gave me inspiration to lots of different keywords I could go for.

Alright - I'll listen to you guys. Will publish the articles when I have 20. I guess it's also more enjoyable for those who follow, to see the numbers rising throughout the journey

Yes, he did. He did not plan it but after 6 months of regular posting he his getting good traffic and Adsense revenue. All of this by not building a single backlinks. He only shares his blog posts to Facebook and Twitter for promotion and nothing else.

For most of us it is hard work not for him as he is quite knowledgeable in his niche and can crank up a post in 20-30 minutes tops.

This is encouraging. I just started my own blog (done 2 articles so far). It's in a very popular niche that I love so Im hoping to achieve something similar.

Id rather write more content as opposed to do boring k/w research BS and risking my earnings by building backlinks (although social media shares, squidoo, and becoming a contributor and linking to your site dosent hurt)

Just out of curiosity, what is your reasoning behind no posting anything until reaching 20 articles? It seems to me that the sooner you post an article the sooner it can start getting crawled and indexed and the sooner it starts adding authority, unless I'm completely mistaken and then I need to go back and rethink all the IM stuff I've been trying to grasp.

Either way, I'm in a similar boat financially and so I'm looking forward to seeing how you do without any up front monetary investment.

The reason why I want to wait is to give some content to the end user. Going to a flat 1 page website in my opinion doesn't offer anything to the user. There's no related post and suchs.

Thanks for following, will post stats when there will be any to show :)
