Rank tracker from link assistand and Majestic SEO. Checked some kws by hand as well as a double check, they add up. Maybe I got lucky I don't know. Talked to other SEO's I trust, most didn't notice much movements either but a few did. Weird but I'm loving it Free rankings ftw!

That's helpful, I don't do much SEO so tend to just check Google Analytics the next day. I'll see if I can figure out how to setup Rank Tracker to automatically update me if any of my/client sites get hit.

Yeah, I think we're probably a couple of weeks away from seeing the full effects so I'm keeping a close eye for now.

I wish more newbies would heed this advice from a senior member. Those "update threads" look like that other forum... "OMG I lost one position. Fucking Google!" "Oh fuck it's back!! I love Google! "

It's just ridiculous. Give it 2 weeks, *then* start drawing any conclusions.

2 of my blogs in private network was banned yesterday. They was 2 years old with 1000 of spun articles posted. Looks like this panda will hit the sites, that autoapprove articles or site's that don't really care about the content posted on them (again). Also I think that this update is new database on foreign languages. I hope my self hosted private network will be OK.

It was 6 days Old news, So far I was aware that it was Penguin 3.0 Update which was on 15th-May-2014.

All my rankings have jumped up today, but I've also been tweaking the on-page factors slightly, so I'll wait a few weeks before I give credit to the Google Animals ...

Just set a schedule to run daily and mail you the reports. Best thing you can do, there are no alerts on that tool. Would be nice tho.

What a lot of people are confused about is panda 4.0 is coming out but last week a payday loans spammy niche update ALSO came out. So 2 updates at almost the same time are confusing a ton of people.

I tend to keep going regardless. Only time I might reassess is if it was a relatively new project that got destroyed by an update - might be worth scrapping in that case!
