i dont often post on forums but i am so mad at what happened to me that i think i need to share it and warn others.

I attended World Internet Summit last Septemebet, and Matt Bacak was a guest speaker. He touted his product as a "ready made membership site with 3 months of content", and that all i, if i enrolled, would ned to do would be to rive trafic to a squeeze page (which would also be supplied), and that all the rest would be taken care of for me.

Well, unfortunately with these things it can take quite a while to know whether it works or not, and certainly far longer than the "100% refund by the end of the last day of the bootcamp" that comes with Matt's offer. I think people liek Matt rely on peopel all getting excited with his training camp that they get blinded by what they are being promised.

So, by the end of the bootcamp weekend, i was all ready to go hoem and implement my new foudn membership site, thinking that all i had to do was drive traffic, and that the high quality website content and squeeze page would do the rest.

mmmmmm, doesnt work that way though does it? In reality, after spending way to omuch money on PPC etc, i got zero response from the very very poorly designed squeeze page, leading to absolutely no -one siging up to the membership site. And even if they did they would have cancelled straight away anyway, because the content was absolutely appalling, What Matt Bacak touted as "3 months worth of qulity content on weight loss" turnd out to be no more than a total of 9 articles (3 per month)! Compared to all the great weight loss content and sites already occupying the top of many organice rankigs, and i can only say that the product suplied as part of this membership site was extremely poor, and no-where near the $3000 i paid for this. Of course, at the time, being a relative newbie, i firmly belived that the content that i had paid for was pretty good, and in the excitement of it all didnt even think of askign for my money back.
However, 6 months, later, and having given the whole thing a "good go", i can see that the quality of the squeeze page, and site itself, was extremely poor.

So a few days ago i asked for a refund. Now, granted he is under no obligation to refund my money, but considerign al of the abive i felt it was a reasonable request. I actualyl felt the trainign given at the bootcam (the Massive Monthly Income bootcamp) was prety good, but that the product supplied was awful, so i requested a 50% refund, which i though t was fair.

The result? No refund at all, not even close.

Warning to all other consierign going on Matt Bacaks MMI course..... if you think you are gettign a top class membership site with 3 months ready made content then think again, it just wont happen. By all means go along if you want good training and advice on SEO or anything, but DONT GO for the product and the dream he promises..it just isnt what he touts.

Good luck

sorry to hear about your rip off.
but thats exactly how the guru's earn.

It's true, look at how many times Mike Filsaime and Ryan Deiss (to name two of many) have done multiple launches of a product with minor changes.

Nice wordplay btw Membershit site - Love it

I wouldn't buy anything from Matt. Waste of money. At one time he client of a JV group I was part of, for promoting authors. A friend of mine who is a great promoter recommended Matt's book. Supposedly it would be a "best seller". (Which is what we specialized in getting authors in the top five best sellers on Amazon)

What I received was a bunch of crap. The "book" was a joke. I've seen $5 ebook with better content. I told my group that if we've lowered our standards down to promoting this type of crap then I wouldn't be participating any more.

I'm not really sure how Matt talks respectable consultants into promoting his crap but he seems to have a knack for it.

Sad but hopefully a lesson as you point out, for others

These folks re-hash a lot of stuff and price it such that they only need a few sales to hit 6 figures a year

Okay my day has been made...

membershit site - that's the best yet or how about a ginormous membershit site.

Sorry to hear you got screwed but by now anybody who's been online for awhile has gotten it in the rear too.

Thanks for the heads up,
the cowboy

I pay for everything through paypal by credit card. If what I bought turns into crap, I know I can get my money back. Got to do the complaint to the credit card co. within 60 days. This way I have a 60 day money back guarantee no matter what I buy. It's gotten at least a couple of hundred $ back for me.

They always make it sound so easy. Buy my plug and play site and all you have to do is bang it up on the web and drive traffic to it to make money. As always getting targeted traffic is the hardest part.

Matt Bacak seems to really excel at pitching his stuff. makes out like he will deliver the goods...yet I have heard far to much of this kind of feedback.

so in the end? he convinces people to give him money because he has made $XXX,XXX a minute or whatever in IM... yet he does not (appear that I can see) sell or promote the products that he is setting people up with? if you really look (search) he does not appear to really have much product out on the net...yet he promises to set people up with money making sites? all of his money making sites, are sites that teach people to set up money making sites?:confused::confused:

Just joined up a few minutes ago looking for something on the fabled Mr. Bacak. Didn't take long. Just wish I knew this first.
Fortunately, I didn't get burned for $3,000, ouch, that must really hurt!
Just the $1 down and $29.95/month deal. It's my own fault, didn't read the fine grey print about the monthly fee.
As soon as I hit the buy button, everything disappeared, POOF! There was no confirmation email or receipt or anything. I waited for awhile, but nothing.
Went back to the site again, THEN I saw the $29.95 monthly deal, clicked off that and tried again to access the site. Again - POOF, gone.
All I want to do is to cancel the monthly waste of money. I cannot find how to do this.
It probably goes without saying that I am brand new to all this. Not blaming anyone else. But I did find the lack of mention about the monthly fee somewhat lacking in honesty.
I think the info will be somewhere here on this site, so I'm going to keep on looking.
Love your "membershit" by the way.
