PS. Anyone else notice how many threads we had here the past 15 days trying to mine data out of black hats? Google is here and is learning from us actively. They're buying from BST's and infiltrating every network and technique. Watch out guys, the game is more fun than ever.

Enough with on-page, it didn't hit that. Sites that were using GSA heavily tanked, even though the keyword density was <5% with decent content.

Totally right. Any site on which GSA was used got tanked.
 
Word on the street is this has to do with targeting the spammy industries and keywords.

I'm seeing fluctuations all over, for people hit by this, was your site in an industry that could be considered spammy?
 
Expected... more so than a few days I see a lot happening in one of my sites. Some fall into the SERP, others rise... but for now is OK.
 
One of my website dropped 70 to 80 positions from 1st 2nd and 3rd positions. It was a very high competition keyword and it took me a lot of time to reach that position. They are back on the same spot after remaining down for the whole day. I am glad they are back but this dropped forced me to check all backlinks,content and other factors. I have created to around 20+ websites. All of my content are unique around 500 to 1000 words and almost all websites are basically 1 page websites.

Only 2 of my websites started to drop for many keywords from 16th of May. I saw a pattern in the ahrefs. On 15 and 16th there was a significant drop(lost) in backlinks for both of these websites. Links to these websites were from(High PR, few of my PBN links, 3 to 4 expired domain 301 redirects and link shorteners)All the links that were dropped were GSA spam on link shorteners like I brought a gig from fiver $15 60k links and blast few link shorteners:) . I have removed link shortnerers from those website and will update if I see any improvements. The over all diversification is good I am only targeting a couple of high competition keywords other than that all the links are naked, generic or LSI. My other websites are doing just fine and I never blasted them with spam or even cheap links just the combination of web2.0s, high pr, PBN and new a lot of expired domains.

I Know alot of people are guessing what the panda 4 update has done to their websites. I would suggest to backtrack and see what you have done that your website was hit and tell us here so that we can learn and try to avoid or maybe correct that so that we can regain our positions back :)

The big $$ niches like payday loans, buy viagra, insurance quotes. Niches where you see a lot of spam sites being ranking.
 
For what it's worth, my home page, after years on the first page, in forth to sixth spot, fell, roughly a year ago to 35. As of five minutes ago, it was back on page one of SERPs, in it's old location, fifth. No change in PR, yet, if at all, but SERP move took me by surprise. dgp
