Would this Negative SEO work? - Its happening to me.

One of my co-workers who hates me dearly has told me that he has used GSA to create 300k backlinks with my main keyword as anchor text. He says this will create a negative impact as google will see a spike in links. My website is only 2 years old and I rank on top for most of my keywords.

Would his negative SEO campaign be successful.

P.S. I have ranked in the past using blackhat ways but have never been caught. My current SEO guys created a form website for me 2 years ago from where they have thousands of links to my main site.

All in all, will his blast of links hurt me? Please be honest.

Okay, make a backup of all your backlinks right now(excel/text editor etc) so you can disavow the new ones easily later.

It's impossible to say for sure, mostly it will depend on the links you currently have and the type of site (if it "deserves" to rank or if it's held up artificially - would it survive a manual review?). If nothing else there could be a short-term bouncing effect as the new links are found by Google. I second what Alpha says, try and grab all your current links so you know which ones that should be there if you need to disavow later.

If I was smart enough to do that, I would know how to blast someone already. Great speculation though. My coworker I am talking about is my fucking brother. We both are in the auto industry, we sell car parts. I am not going to sue him nor will I be able to talk any physical action.

My point was to just find out how the spammy links will impact my rankings. Please answer this.

Now that sounds even more like bullshit.

Nobody here is going to teach you how to carry out Negative SEO.

If you really are being targeted then why don't you start asking the right questions, like how to protect yourself, what to do next, how to mitigate against it etc rather than just asking how to carry it our/if it will work.

these days on bhw no one knows seo, i dont think negative seo works so well in 2014 ,just make sure your youtube,fb, and twitter are in good shape, that will help your site stick in google rankings
