So yesterday brought me another 5.00 with no more ads than the ones I posted on Monday. The CTR is very good for the ads (about 50%) once they get on the site and the conversion rate is close to 15% which is pretty high compared to just getting organic traffic to the site.

I did not put up any more ads, just relied on the ones that were put up on Monday for that action.

Now here is something to remember if you are going to embark on this... your ads will accumulate so you want to mix up the titles, content, offers and site you are directing people to in order to keep things looking realistic for the visitors to the classified sites.

Also, the volume goes up exponentially, in a small way, as you place more ads if you are mixing up the titles/content/offers/landing page. Joe visitor may go to Ad 1, do his thing so you make a few dollars, then see Ad 2 later or the next day and do a similar thing so yo make a few more dollars.

Anyway, there is an update with a very small test area and I should be able to increase those Ads and the revenue next Monday when I start to ramp it up.

Thank you for your updates! This method looks workable and I think I'll give it a shot.

Ok, Wednesday got me another 3.00 so we are looking at 15.00 for about 20 minutes of work. I'm no college graduate but that plays out to 45.00 an hour and I have to do all the usual tweaking and what not + I need to get an outsourcer to handle the posting for me.

I won't do the posting myself as I'm a lazy self centered middle aged American male and we don't work if possible.

hehe, that was funny! :p I am no American, but still I am so lazy. :D

btw, thanks for showing to the haters that this method can work! ;) Well I never had any doubt with this method, so I got a good PR domain as soon as I read this thread when it was created. :) Just finished working on the site, will start posting ads as soon as I get time, and I'll share my results here! :)
Thanks for sharing this method OP!

I used to do this with cars but I ended up getting in trouble because some of the cars ended up faulty or stolen.

Still, it's a great method.

Yesterday was 4.00 more!!

Who Hoo once again!

I've reposted the 2 ads from Monday so they are closer to the top for the Weekend although the weekend is notoriously terrible for classifieds online and it may be a futile effort but I had 43 seconds laying around collecting dust so I thought I would use them to repost.

My outsource poster is doing some testing for me and I have a line on another poster who is a good guy from way back that I may work with as well so next week could be a bigger play.

So it is 19.00 for 20 minutes of work now - close to 57.00 per hour.

I'll add in the 43 seconds I used to repost those ads in my next update to keep things clean.

If we use AdSense ads we will get banned correct?

I would not use Adsense on a deal like this again... that was how I got hit last time and it cost me thousands plus an income stream of close to 20K a month that was running nicely for almost 2 years.

There are other ways to monetize this kind of thing that are safer.

Hi OP,

Thank-you for extending a warm arm to share your method though you have abandoned it for good? :)
This has been eye-balled and I would give it a try very soon but not in the mentioned niche, thank-you.

Best Regards,
Commoner

I am giving this method a try. I created a website but decided to try cars instead of apartments. I didn't realize tha CL charges 5.00 dollars to post for dealers so I had to do BP ads. Going to try the apartment/house angle.

Can I take a look at your sites BassTrackerBoats? I think this method works good, but we had to follow the guidelines specially in adsense.

Should we put a watermark to the image or just advertise in the text of the ad on the classified sites?

You should test to see what works best for your particular twist of this idea. I did something on my ads that is very unique so that it stands out from 99.9% of the other ads in my category.

How is it with your tests? I am anxious to hear the results.

Back Folks... yesterday I implemented a little different strategy... I did get some paid posts up and spent 25.00 + I renewed the ads I had running.

Total revenue for yesterday was 15.00 and already today the revenue is 6.00 so I expect a little bit of revenue this week as those paid posts will be up and near the top of the section for another day or so.

Like I said, I put something in my ad that was very unique; I put up an image ad and in the image I had something that was totally useless to the viewer but looked like it was legit and would be if the reader used it. It made the ad look like it was as real as could be.

What I am offering in my ads is of value and costs the person nothing so I'm not scamming at all... this is a legit offer to those that could use what is being offered.

So, take the following from this post:

1) Make your advertisement stand out from the others in the same niche.
2) Invest a little and let that investment work for you.
3) Offer something of value to the prospect.

The original premise of this method has been around in many forms on BHW since 2007/2008. To the noobs saying this wouldn't work, I will tell you that millionaires were created from running ads ONLY in the real estate/apartment sections with more of a blackhat twist before the credit report companies massively cracked down.

.... Of course that required clever thinking, LOTS of ads, and you know.... some actual work. I have no doubt this is still feasible with more of a legit face put on it to keep the credit report companies/CPA networks happy.

@BTB, You're more patient than me, props for the case study to motivate some new members. Hope you're doing well, I'll shoot you a message on Skype to catch up.
