Do you know if it's better to have keywords that equal to the brand name of the site (e.g. "Rothstein Insurance Group") or general keywords (e.g. "best insurance company")? I'm asking as I read that Matt Cutts said in an interview that guest blogging and keyword stuffing is a nono in 2014. He emphasized brand building.

Just to clarify: with keywords I mean link anchor texts. As a newbie I'm not really sure, whether keywords are always links in blackhat context or whether they can be <h1> titles etc. as well. :)
