Warning: this is wallof text. I thnk it willbenefit you to read this, but that is up to you.
Let me give you a little guidance here. You have to stop trying to game your way into this. I just ran across this thread, and I when I read where you used the other business for verification, I knew you were busted.
I do not know if you are masquerading as a service provider, or what for the website.
If you are pretending to be an actual service provider, and you do not have a brick and mortar location there, you can expect that as soon as your competitors see you are selling leads they will turn you in.
Google actually dislikes what you are doing if you are going about this as if you are a provider. Local business have complained bitterly that SEO people can dominate a market because small business people don't know SEO.
What you are doing is (if you are acting like you are the provider) is actually cutting yourself in on the local market at the expense of the real providers there.
This is in fact why the local algorithm was born, to level the playing field for real local businesses vs people who did SEO at an advanced level.
What you should do instead is present your business as an association of providers.
I do not know what niche you are going for, (hopefully not Dental) but if your local business is a service that finds qualified professionals for people, all is good with Google.
Let's say you are working with carpet cleaners. If your website connects customers with qualified carpet cleaners in their area (pulling these from the businesses you send leads to, commonly referred to as the "providers in your database"), why you are providing a valuable service for the public. Google likes that.
To do this you need to appear to be real business, get a DBA, rent a virtual office (It MUST provide you with a street address, not a po box), and a virtual phone number.
As you are ranking the site, point the phone number to various carpet cleaners in your area and send them free leads. You virtual phone service will track all the particulars about the call, including caller id information, duration of call, and so on.
After sending a few leads to the provider you have chosen send an e-mail with essentially these contents.
Hello, I am the owner of Chicago carpet cleaning pros, and your business has been chosen to receive X complementary leads from our visitors seeking a carpet cleaning pro in your community.
These leads are provided free of charge to random providers like yourself in order to help promote our service.
If you would like to continue to receive these leads, please contact us at your convenience.
Over the past few days, our service has sent you these leads. Persons on this list that became your customers would not have contacted you without our service.
(list the caller id info, phone number the call originated from, and the duration of the call)
The service provider will immediately take this information and match it to his recent customer list using the caller id info and the phone number. If she made money, she will contact you.
When they contact you make them two offers.
#1. They can continue to receive random leads if they will put a link on the home page of their website saying "We are proud to be listed with Chicago Carpet Cleaning Pros." (you do this because it is the cheapest and most effective SEO you will ever do, any links from local carpet cleaners will only strengthen your site rankings locally as they will pour their domain authority into your site.)
#2. They can buy leads outright for $xx, and (3, 5?) of these will be free if they give you the link.
With either case they get a page on your site that highlights their business (they provide the content) with NAP, which makes it a related local citation. (This also helps your site grow with user generated, related content. You will provide a backlink from their profile page to their site. I don't know if you snapped there, but they are giving you a homepage link, and you are only giving them an internal page link. If you are smart, that internal page will be link sculpted to minimize juice loss)
You do not sell all your leads to one person however.
When a provider calls, offer the leads for a cheap price. If they buy, raise the price slightly for the next provider who joins the team.
As you progress, you will finally reach a cost per lead where you start to meet resistance from the providers. At this point, back off by 15 to 20% and you have found the value of that lead in your community.
Obviously you honor all your obligations at the rates you have agreed to as each provider comes onboard, but all future leads sell at this final determined price.
Next, You don't wait for citations, you wait for Google Places. Go to brightlocal.com and join for a free trial. Run a citation report, and using that report go get all the free citations with an authority above 30. Well not ALL of them, you can slow down after the first 250 or so. Be sure to do these citations right, and if you don't know how, ask someone.
Think about what you are doing right now. You are going to Google first and saying "verify me!". So Google goes out there and finds nothing about your company except a few mentions.
Instead, get out there and get those citations yourself. Before you know it, google will add your business as unverified, then all you have to do is go verify it.
GP is not going to bring you customers anyway, (they will not drive up to your business) for what you are doing, it is simply a nice citation. Fuck them, list on mapquest instead, and you have a similar link.
When you are doing the citations, get any paid ones you can afford with authority above 50.
Don't worry about YouTube, it's just a link. People who are looking for a service do not go to you tube, they go to Google. People who go to YouTube want to do it themselves.
Above all, quit laying down landmines to drive your site over. Don't buy views, likes, reviews, or anything. Don't fake any info that will allow someone to pull the site out from under you just as it starts to make money.
