It's scary to think that while we are our brain, our brain is some sort of external mediator we have no control over that prevents us from knowing certain things for "our own good." Repressed memories come to mind as a possible example of this, but going deeper, imagine if your brain knew certain things but was programmed not to tell you.

It's sort of like not knowing you're being dumbed down or controlled.

Reality is scary. Non-reality is scary. Sleep sounds wonderful.

A good sleep will help rejuvenate, freshen, and power up the senses and their very important root organ, i.e. the brain. When one is deprived of sleep for extended time, then the brain begins to seriously malfunction. It's like the car engine which never rests... it will explode or burn out very soon.
