I can assure you that anyone who has held a position at a giant (mega.. multi national) corporation has felt or can imagine the blunt wrath of a scorn employer. If google DID sue you for breach, your life would be done for. Think back to dude who lost the iPhone.. Didn't hear much about his career past that day, did you? Just by the sheer fact that your former employer sued you makes you essentially unemployable .. even for a janitorial job. Corporations do background checks and if they see litigation against an employer or from an employer they head for the hills.
This is essentially the jist of why someone would drop something on pastebin - they knew if google found out (they will/did I'm sure) and it rings true, they're going to spend a shit load of time and money into finding out who blew their gig. Trust me.. these guys have resources, you.. do not. Just the pre-trial conference cost alone would be enough to bury a normal employee, they can run 50-100k just to depose you (and if you receive a subpoena, you are absolutely showing up).
