Is Dhgate a good reliable website?

Im new to the wholesale scene and i came across a website called dhgate and im wondering if this is a legit site? Like i know most of the electronic stuff is fake but do they actually send you your stuff or take your money and never send it? IDK just wondering

As with every chinese wholesaler there is a possibility of getting ripped off.

I've used DHGate in the past and it went fine , You just need to pick the right seller. Check them out before buy anything , Usually private messaging each other gives you an idea whether you would like to deal with each other or not.

It's just like anywhere else. Several sellers go there to build a reputation and do long term businesses. Some are on there to scam some quick cash.

This is basically I do when started to browse for a product or to deal with a new sellers.

1 ) Browse the stuff that I want to buy. Of course it's about the comparing the price and quantity.
2 ) Look for the buyers' rating. The highest the better. 1-2 negative feedback can be considered ok, just have a look at the feedback. Sometimes it's not the sellers fault but the buyers. Just take a little time here.
3 ) Bookmark the sellers/items or save it to favourite.
4 ) Try to chat with the sellers (if they are online) or leave them a message. Ask about their product, about shipping or anything related.
5 ) Got feedback/message from sellers and convince enough then I make my order.

Until now, I have no problem with DHGate.

i ordered from DH gate a while back and had no problems. give it a shot. if you get scammed you get scammed, lesson learned. but like the others are saying, definitely do your homework on the seller before you buy.

IT is a marketplace and you have to deal with the right seller to avoid frustration or scams. I wanted to order stuff from a seller and their sell page stated that shipping was free, but it turned out it was 200$ for the box, the guy told me last minute, that a-hole! Also, the language barrier can be unbearable at times. It is all about reading reviews of the supplier and finding the right one for you.

oh man dhgate is the house of scammers like alibaba and stuff and a little minority of real sellers

If I understand right,dhgate is something like ebay,right?So why you guys don't try buying stuff directly from the manufacturers.I suppose on dhgate there may be many sellers who say that they are wholesalers,but they probably are secondhand retailers that buy stuff from real facilities or warehouses and sell it to you with a profit for them,claiming that they the first hand you buy something from.Am i right?If you wanna make money by selling on the web,you should avoid these ppl who make profit from you!their profit MUST be yours!I want to start my online business,selling stuff,no matter what,but I still cannot cuz I haven't found any REAL wholesale seller/dropshipper.And I dont want to give any of my money to fake wholesalers that make profit from me!I am looking for REAL warehouses/factories that will sell me their products at the lowest price in the world.This is the hard part of this business.Good luck to all!

I've successfully used DHgate, but I can see how it would be easy to get scammed... Make sure to review a seller's feedback.

I deal with new wholesale suppliers every month and can tell you 2 things:

-Don't believe prices that are too low
-Buying big brands products at a low price is very hard if you won't invest a lot

And always place a small order before placing the real one.

If your an SEO, do yourself a favor and check out the backlink profile they have...

Its seriously astounding that they haven't gotten caught already....

I have dealt with them, at first they were ok and all the products were satisfactory considering the low prices. Their promise of guarantee however is not worth the paper it's written on. If you choose a bad seller, you are on your own and will not get your product or a refund. It cost me $251.36 to learn that. I would not recommend doing business with them. I tried for nearly three months to get my money back and after a dozen form letters and a multitude of lies I gave up! If you do decide to use them choose a seller very carefully and from my experience ecrazybaby888 is not one to trust! And don't expect DH Gate to help you!

There was a paper, which has "Playstation 4" written on it.
Since then, I have never work with DH Gate. My seller has a good ratio of reputation and stars,
