Dhgate buying...DHgate have a Escrow type of arrangement..If you receive products from DHgate sellers that are not as described, faulty or a empty box DO NOT CLICK ON ITEM OR PACKAGE AS RECEIVED option button.
As emotions and as tempting as leaving a negative feedback and making a complaint might be at this moment.(you can do that a later date) Once you click as item received money is released to the seller they have a automated system, then you will basically be on your own (please contact seller etc). Hold on to your emotions If the item was sent China Post or Singapore post (normally used for small or single items) good chance it is not tracked. You will be told wait a while longer,OK do that.Then after a week or so, Mark cancel the order you will still have to wait about 21 days for a refund but at least you will get one and the seller will not have scammed you.
DHgate help may ask you to mark item as received before hearing your complaint DO NOT. You have a small amount of control in the transaction until you mark this option..
If it was sent DHL FedEx,or EMS it obviously is tracked if the seller is unknown to you when DHL etc deliver try to quickly open the box while being delivered all looks OK accept and sign if not refuse delivery, The delivery guy might not like this "but it is your money" not signed for is undelivered. this is a more difficult process to get a refund you will refereed to a DHgate arbitration procedure an annoying process but a refund likely in time.
Defiantly use a Credit Card . Not Western Union.
Returning items to supplier in China is basically a waste of time and money.
DHgate can work fine. "DUE DILIGENCE"
Play Fair if the item is fine leave good feedback do not scam the seller.
