Question about Conversions!

Alright, so I started my own blog and managed to get ranked 3rd for a competitive keyword but I'm not seeing much traffic or conversions still..Is there anything I might be doing wrong?

Well, #3 is not #1 so there's a chance people just stick to the first two results. According to searchenginewatch, even #1 position gets just 33% of search traffic and #3 gets just 11%. Another reason - your titles and descriptions might not look appealing to users, especially after the SERP redesign. And as for conversions, users might not convert because they don't find what they were looking for on your website. There can be many other reasons though, it depends on a website.

It Depends upon lot of things your Niche , traffic , Website ranking on top of you , your description and your site

you should also double check that the search results isn't personalized. If you did not use a proxy or something else to check but just use google search to check, there is a chance that the site is ranked there just because google knows you have been frequently visiting your site. so it may show up as #3 for you but actually its much lower than that.
