Facebook Reach Got Lower Even More!!

You just have to stay ACTIVE!
keep posting QUALITY CONTENT.

Facebook only gives you reach if you meet certian requirements.

You need people who are gonna be loyal and keep sharing / coming back !!!

I only have about 9k likes (in my first 5 weeks) and I get about 2k reach for posts without links and about 800-900 reach for posts with links.

For posts without links I get about 50-70 comments and 40-50 likes. When I have posts with links I get about 20 comments and 20 likes. Both get a few shares, but not much.

My page is very interactive and I think that really helps.

i am very active, and post viral videos but suddenly videos stopped reaching people and shares/likes lowered alot so ...

@Wriper You know, that's fantastic to have that high of a talking about. But continually publishing viral content isn't something that's sustainable no matter what page you run. This is about the long game, not the short term. Have you ever tried posting continual viral content for a year or longer on the same page? I'm assuming not, because it's beyond impossible unless you have millions of fans already and are still paying for that to be seen. They are stopping organic reach. What I think you mean to say is that Paid reach that turns into organic can't be stopped.

I'm not trying to rag on you, but.."Girls stop posting on facebook".. wtf are you talking about?

Listen up people, I spend $2000 a month on Facebook advertising and post promotion as well as using another service to use cookies to get people to come back to my site through facebook. What I'm seeing right now is that post promotion by itself is almost useless. I've got a 30k page for a niche that consistently stays between 2500-4500. This is the first time in months that it's dropped below that. I only come here when serious shit is happening. This is serious shit. I've noticed other pages dropping as well.

What I'm seeing is that posts are not getting the likes they typically would in the first couple of days. What I'm seeing is that your post boost is a waste of money. But going into the advanced section of facebook adverts is still some what useful. But the return still takes a few days. I typically put $15 and target certain groups. So far the first two days my posts are advertised I only get a few likes, typically in the single digits sadly. But after that point, it starts to go up dramatically.

"Quality content" is no longer enough. You need to do more than that such as really knowing your consumer and getting into the details of targeting. One thing that you could consider doing and I'm personally playing around with the idea is promoting my facebook page with my other social channels.

It could have something to do with your posts having capitals for every word...

No matter how much we promote the page. Still the reach is low, unless we pay for the reach. You publish once the page somewhere you can get some views. But even if they like the page, they won't come back there... unless they see other links you promote on other socials.

No, absolutely. Nobody who cares about business does (or should) do it.

To those saying you have to get creative.. you don't have a clue. There was a huge drop in reach on my pages around march 9-10th. This dropped my average post reach nearly 50%. That was harsh, but this most recent change is honestly ridiculous.

One of my pages was averaging between 100k-300k reach per post before the first update. After that I was down to 80-100k per post, which wasn't too bad to continue. Overnight just a couple days ago my page was hit by something on fb's side and now I am averaging 8-10k reach per post.

This is not about good content. Everyone of my posts is starred recently because my interaction level is great. FB has simply stopped my fans from seeing any content. There is no "get creative". They simply fucked me. If my fans can't see the content, they can't like it.

If you have yet to experience this newest update, brace yourselves. Because it's not just disheartening, it's basically time to throw in the towel. FB can pin this on user experience, blah blah blah. My fans didn't overnight decide not to see my content. This is facebook targeting large pages in an attempt to force them to advertise. For those with smaller 50k-100k pages, you might not have been hit yet and count your stars. Because it's coming.

At this point I don't have any advice. Post frequency, viral content, relatable content, etc etc. It doesn't matter when a 500k page with 200k talking about gets an initial reach of 900-1k on a post in 5 minutes when it use to do 15-20k. No matter how viral, there isn't enough there to get it where it needs to be.

:congrats:

I can't believe how thirsty for money they are.

I haven't been having good results either with Facebook Ads lately. I think maybe it's the user base or just simply the way they are displaying the ads to potential customers.

Even as a Facebook user this upsets me. I follow some pretty interesting pages that only update via their pages and more often then not, I realize I'm not receiving any of their updates or content. I have to physically visit the page to see if anything has been posted.

For the advertisers, stick to Twitter. The platform is much better, more active, and people come to see content, not friends social updates. Lets be honest, the only reason we, as advertisers, even still use Facebook is because it has 1 billion people on it. I've had much more success on Twitter than I have had on Facebook. I have also given up on FB and FB ads.

I am making the big bucks right now on facebook and I have been in the game for 2 years.

I'm sick of this..Last year my page had 200-300 new likes/day. Now it's a 'good' day if I can get 30 new likes, my reach is lower then when I had 30% of my today likes...

It won't go back.
I Guess its time for page owners to slowly move towards other social media platforms like vine instagram and twitter fb is trying to screw things .

Didn't think twitter marketing worked either...idk? I don't think I'd try to go with the big dogs anymore cause they are greedy S.O.B.'s and don't want to let what amounts to pennies for them go to us IMers cause they ain't got it good enough. I know "social signals" are what the big G want's to see these days, so that is about all they are worth now IMHO

I think Facebook may have shot themselves in the foot.

The people who's page reach dropped like a rock

will go to other sites to build an audience.

Facebook is really money hungry so this isn't a surprise.

That is why I stopped doing page promotion

because I knew that FB would want to eventually screw around with it.

Your not seeing results with Facebook ads because your not getting the cpc low enough and your not getting the view frequency past 1. Its crutial to get the view frequency up. The more times someone sees your ads the better of a chance they will click.

You people need to understand that facebook never intended to be a spam nest. Group and pages were to share with friends and family. They are trying to revert the spam and raise quality.

Exactly, they have big investors with their company and its their duty to protect the investment for the shareholders. Your shitty fan pages are not worth the shit I took this morning so stop complaining and try to make money like a man, not a child.
