I was looking into buying a few store giftcards on eBay, but my main concern is if they can steal the cash off the card, like the case of a target giftcard.

I know some of these can be used online.

I would only buy from reputable members with 100% positive feedback, but I was looking and the cards sell for more then the value???

So if I see target cards $200 going for like $238? isnt this backwards? Why would they sell for more then the value, unless you were trying to get cash off paypal account, to use without hitting your bank account.

This could be a very profitable blackhat area for the right business person.

Thats $38 profit from 200, but mins the ebay fees and stuff, you could end up losing money.

Just throwing the idea out there.

If someone is selling the cards for over face value then its obvious they are anticipating that the buyer is purchasing it for the very reason of working around the withdraw limitations of paypal.

This is because people are usually given giftcards they dont want to use or have no use for and you cant go to target and get cash from them.

sounds like a good business, profiting from the bad day of another person.

Sounds like true blackhat to me.

O yah .. my first post..

Hey guys!

I received a g0ogle alert with this post listed, along with it also listed on a blog, in the same alert.

If that's your blog, you may want to post it on your blog for a few days before posting it here. Although, I've read that the site that originally posts content doesn't always get credit as the originator in g0ogle's se eyes - supposedly the 'authority' of the 2 would.

Off topic, and maybe of no concern to you, just saying.

Obviously someone must be scraping the post from the forum and adding it to their blog.

I do not understand..Im sorry...but why would people buy a Target gift card for more than face value. What is being exploited here?
