Doing SEO for my first site myself. Here goes my plan.

Hello. I created a website that is video based and doesnt have much written content in it. I started using GSA SER to rank it. My SEO plan is as follows:

Tier 1:
Domain PR 4+
Platforms: Wikis, article directories and web 2.0s
Will also get some social signals directly pointing to main site.

Tier 2:
Domain PR 1+
Platforms: Wikis, article directories, web 2.0s, forum profiles, image comments, social bookmarks, social networks, microblog, guest book and directory

Tier 3: comment and trackback blast.

Problems I am facing so far:

* I started my tier 1 campaign yesterday but I didnt get more than 4 web 2.0 and 5 article links.
*Most tier 1 links are wikis which are no follow.
*1 main thing that in my opinion makes it hard for my site to rank is that it hasnt got much written content in it. Only title of the video and a little description.

My Questions:

* How to increase the amount web 2.0 and article links? My site list has them but dont know why I am not getting any success with them.
* Would Linking towards my no follow tier 1s be any good?
* Do you want to say anything about my SEO plan or improve it?

Sounds like a decent plan and I wish you much success. I'd suggest that you do some shopping around the market place here. There's a lot of great services here at decent prices which I think would go hand in hand with your current plan(s).

I have created a very good 3d logo intro animation. Will now make good videos with the intro animation as a starter to give my vids a good professional look. Then I will upload them on youtube and start YT marketing to generate some trust towards the site. I think when my channel on YT has gathered enough of subscribers I will see some consatnt traffic flow.

Try to get yahoo links, Works good for video sites. Rest seems good, Best of luck!

It would help you if you were to write a brief synopsis on the page with each video on it otherwise the search engines would not know how to list it.

Thanks for all the opinions and suggestion guys. The only thing that I am confused about is that Backlinking to the nofollow wikis in my tier 1 would it help my main site??

No follow wikis also play vital role in your link building, they will just maintain the ratio of do follow and no follow backlinks.

Do manual tier 1, then blast GSA with slightly better quality links.. then blast those with everything.

I second Ardley. Don't go automated at T1. Otherwise your plan is good to work

Check Matthew Woodward series about Tiered link building it can help you out I think. Combine this and the answers here and go make monkeys

For tier 1, you need quality links that would stick. Do them manually or buy from vendors on this forum. You can then do further tiers using GSA.
