How to promote Facebook Page with comments?

I'm playing with the "Inspirational Images/Quote" niche and I'm promoting my Facebook Page by commenting on other popular pages. I got 2 questions.

1) Should I comment on the latest posts only or on the page wall too? I see more people spam the page wall than the posts which is strange because the posts should get more exposure.

2) How do I comment? Do I:

• A: Make a genuine comment and hope that somebody will find it insightful and click through to my page
• B: Don't write anything, just link to an interesting picture of my page (lot of my competitors do this)
• C: Same as B, but include a call to action such as "LIKE my page for more ... "

Post your picture comment on the comments of each status they make. This way when someone likes it, it'll pop on their friends newsfeed as well and your picture will be right there in their faces. You'll get likes

Ah I had no idea likes on other page walls shows up on their feed! Guess I shouldn't include a "LIKE our page ..."? It does look pretty spammy.
