Follow me as I start a legitimate whitehat marketing business and boost the sales of local businesses
Introduction
I've been working online on and off for the past 4 years. I've tested it all, from Adsense, to affiliate marketing, to reselling Fiverr services, and even writing and selling eBooks. Right now I have a relatively steady source of income coming from promoting CPA offers, and I'll occasionally update my status on that here, but the main focus of the journal is my next huge project. I'm going to be starting a marketing agency. It will focus on different internet related services, that will aid local businesses, mainly SEO, ORM, social media management, and lead generation.
I chose this as my next big project, because I'm tired of losing progress, and doing unfulfilling work with all of the black hat marketing I've done. Instead of getting $2 from someone who wants a free iPhone, I'm going to be increasing sales of local businesses and gaining more applicable skills.
One thing that may slow me down is the fact that I'm still in high school. However I still do have a lot of free time, so I stay motivated to work on this. I'm going to be moving out of my parents house in the coming weeks, so that will cut out most distractions.
Game Plan
I'm going to begin by buying a domain and putting on a fancy WordPress theme. I'll fill it up with content and make it look like it's been around for years.
After it's tweaked to my liking, I'm going to find some small businesses to do some basic work for, for free, so I can get some legitimate testimonials and start a portfolio.
Once I've gotten the testimonials/go ahead to put them in my portfolio, I'm going to start gathering info of local businesses, assessing their online presence, and offering them a service package accordingly. I'm going to use lots of different emailing techniques to see what works best for me.
From there, all I have to do is set everything up for the businesses and repeat!
Today
Today I will be buying the domain, putting a WordPress theme on it and filling it with as much content as possible.
Goals
Goals are a very important part of starting any project. I think it's good to have long term and short term goals, some realistic, and some less realistic than others. Here's the goals I've set for myself that will lead me to the end of this journal.

CPA Earnings
Like I said in the intro, I won't be going into what I'm doing to earn money on the side, but I'm going to update once a week or so, just so you guys know how I'm supporting myself while most of my attention is on the big business. If these earnings go down, I will have to divert my focus onto my CPA venture. I will also be putting some work/maintenance into it over time. These earnings are more or less autopilot.
