Yep. I'm going to be looking into all different kinds of keywords but right now I'm looking into "review" keywords, which I think are pretty close to buying keywords since they're looking for a reason to buy the product.
Not even close. My final goal is to have 20-30k saved up and right now since I moved to BC and couldn't find a RL job, plus my student loan debt, it'll probably take me quite some time. In June I'm moving to Halifax and will be looking for a software dev job + working on IM in all of my spare time. I don't even know if I'm going to do the entire world in one long trip anymore but I plan on doing SEA around June 2015 for 3 months or so.
Still, plans are going to constantly change over time, I could end up hitting a gold mine tomorrow and be well on my way a lot sooner. All there is to do right now is to keep a rough plan and keep working as hard as possible.

Oh, I also want to mention that I ran a test with my bot to scrape amazon links as well. Once I start generating sales with CB I'm going to explore with Amazon as well. I hope that some day I can outsource all of this work. Have a couple people uploading CB videos for me and a couple uploading Amazon videos for me.

Ok so not much done the past couple days. Was celebrating St. Pattys day early. Anyway, here's the scoop. So far I've scraped videos from around 1500 keywords of my product + review list and scraped up 4600 videos so far. Only about 1500 of them are over 100 views. 600 with over 1k views. I'm going to start by uploading the ones with the most views, altough this may not be the best approach since those channels likely have their views because they are well established channels. The videos with 0..50000 views are most likely regular joes. Of course some will be boosted so that would be taken into consideration. Anyway, I'm just going to go ahead and get some videos ready and upload them today.
No sales yet. Hops were also down yesterday and I thought my videos went down but I just checked and all 1680 videos are still up at the moment. I've had a total of 7 order form impressions and 1 order form server call so far. I think if I just keep pushing more videos online eventually I'll strike gold, and when I do I'll be duplicating the successful videos with new keywords and boosting them. That's a little too far ahead though because who knows if this CB thing will ever start paying off.
Anyway, time to make some breakfast and get to work.

Alright. So today I was planning on uploading a bunch of videos but then I decided I want to try automating everything. Today I bought a new VPN and some youtube accounts for testing. If they all live as long as my other accounts then I'll be able to get a hell of a lot more videos online. I imagine I'll be able to get about 2k videos up/day if automation works out for me, as opposed to getting only ~200 videos up manually. I imagine sales will just pour in once I start getting over 10k videos online, but I don't plan on stopping until I have scraped every damn CB video on Youtube and upload them all. Obviously automation will be key here.
Once I have enough CB videos online I'll also be moving onto amazon affiliate videos, and possibly sniff out some other videos that can make me some cash. Maybe I can even start building a solid email list again. Right now I'm getting too ahead of myself though. I need to wait for my accounts to come in and VPN to get activated to start testing. For now, I'm just going to get some videos edited and ready for upload.

Ok so yesterday I uploaded 300 videos. I also got a new Azure account and managed to copy my hdd from my old account to the new one, yay. I also decided to stop downloading videos in HD. I'm just going to upload them in their regular quality, which is usually 360p. They look fine and I can get a lot more uploaded.
Something strange is happening in CB today. I've already had over 100 hops. I really wish I could tell if all of these hops are legit. I haven't ran my bots at all yet today but I was running them last night so maybe that had an effect on my hops.
I also had 3 order form impressions today, however, they are all on the same product, which only got 2 hops today. I'm thinking one person made both the hops and all 3 order form impressions, although I don't know if CB stats are unique clicks or not. If they are unique, then maybe I have a video linking directly to the order page.
Anyway, today I'm going to try and upload 500 videos. It shouldn't be too difficult now that the process goes a lot quicker. Tomorrow my VPN should be ready, and hopefully my accounts will arrive as well so I can do a test round with automation.
Anyway, I believe that first sale will come very soon, and once that happens the flood gates will open and they will pour in. I believe that first sale will trigger my subconscious mind to lay out a path for my conscious mind. As soon as I figure out what made the first sale, it'll be a hell of a lot easier to replicate that success. And if automation works out, I can scale that success beyond my expectations. More copies of MVB, more VPNs and more accounts all working to upload different sets of videos.
Right now I just want to work on getting 10k videos online. So far I'm at 2041. 2 accounts went down today, but it's not really a set back. It's expected that some, or most will go down eventually, but some may stick for months or years, just like lots of my PPD videos have (knock on wood). It took me about a week to get 2k videos online, but now that I can upload faster, I think I can do a lot better. Now the most time consuming thing is scraping new videos and mass editing the links. My link changer bot really needs some work. I want to multithread it for one thing and also have a button to retry links that failed to get shortened as this happens sometimes due to random errors with either connection problems on my end or server hiccups on bitly's or my shortener's api end.
Anyway, this is way too long of a post and I'm going to get to work now. I'll keep you guys posted on when I get that first sale!

Just quickly multithreaded my link replacer bot. In the meantime I found an error with unencrypted hoplinks. The bot was incorrectly formatting the link as my own and thus bitly didnt recognize it as a url, so those links were replaced with nothing. That means all the videos I scraped that used unencrypted hoplinks are completely useless. Thankfully I caught this error by mistake today and fixed it. Now I'm going to run a list of 750 videos through the bot and see how long it takes. Usually it took about 30-60 minutes for 100 videos, but hopefully it runs a lot faster now that it's multithreaded.
EDIT:
Oh, I also fixed something else. I was grabbing the aggregate bitly link instead of the regular link. This made it so I couldn't see the click stats on my bitly account. Now however, I should be able to see all the clicks on my new links. This will help me track things a lot better.

Please just post here so the questions can benefit everybody.
Anyway, my bot is accessing CB too fast now and I'm getting blacklisted for 2 minute intervals. Some kind of DDOS protection I guess. Going to have to implement some kind of delay and see what works. Might have to go back to not multithreading the bot.
EDIT: It's a lot easier to just not multithread it anymore so that's the decision I made. At least I fixed some bugs that I wouldn't have found otherwise.
EDIT2: Well this was unexpected. Looks like my ip might be banned from CB now. Hopefully I can allowed back in soon. If not, I'm pretty sure I have a dynamic IP so it should be all good.

Well, I guess I can't do anything until I'm not blacklisted anymore. Apparently it should be lifted after around 5 minutes of no activity, but I've done that and still can't access my account. Going to try waiting 30 minutes or so before I try again.

Tried logging in with a proxy and it said it was an invalid account or password. Looks like my CB journey might have come to an end for something so stupid. I've emailed support so I guess we'll see what they say. All I know is this is some major bullshit right now.

Ok. I don't know what the hell's going on right now. I got into my account with a proxy but my charts would not load in the stats page. Now CB is apparently doing some scheduled maintenance. Going to have to wait it out but I think my account is still alive. That was a pretty big scare but hopefully it's all good.

Ok we're back! My account is alive and I have a new ip address. All is good. I can finally start converting my links. I'm going to load the bot into my VPS so I can let it run all night to convert these links. No videos uploaded today, but I'll get to it tomorrow.
Also, my VPN got activated today, so now I'm just waiting on the accounts.

Ok. So we had a miracle snow fall last night and I should be hitting the hill today, but I have this feeling in my stomach that I should be more productive today. I know I'm nowhere near where I should be right now in terms of IM and my life and I just want to get work done today, so that's what I'm doing. Uploading videos all day and setting future videos up. In my original journey I had planned on being a millionaire by 2015, and even though I know I'm nowhere near that goal, I know that through all of this something good will come. It's been a roller coaster over the years and it's time to get shit together. I know this is the year that everything is going to change for the better.
Anyway, just rambling. Yesterday I had a total of 7 order form impressions, which is the highest I have had in one day. Things are starting to look up. CB should start pulling through any day now. I'm hoping my accounts will come in today so I can start testing automation. If all goes well with that there's no doubt in my mind I can start earning my $300/day goal.
Ok. Enough talk. Time to get to work.

Tried uploading an account with the VPN yesterday and it's already deleted. I think I'm going to scrap the VPN and try some public proxies. I'm pretty sure the VPN I use just uses the same IP block and they never get rotated so I imagine they're all perm blacklisted from YT.
Its fine to upload HD videos if you're using your vps. Just scrape less than 5 minute HD video and still get you good time to download and upload using MVD/MVB.
