Is everyone retarded on Flippa or...?

Can I post this on BHW as a method? Can I? Can I?
Post it in JrVip section, it is gonna get saturated if it goes live for everyone

First of all thank you to SkyrocketSEO for bring this on BHW. I really appreciate what he has done for everyone. It is all about the community.

Let?s start with an apology to all members, who believe that I joined the forum to insult their views about my web-property. It is a free-speech world, you guys can say anything but all I can do is to provide the real stats and satisfy you.

As asked by several members in PM about the stats video recorded with either Camtasia or Screenr like services. I compiled a brief video of showing each and every stat about GeekSays.

Video: geeksays (dot) com / geeksays-stats (dot) mp4 ~ I am not able to post the URL :(

I know many of you have already decided and assumed a negative image of me, but all I do is request to all senior members and everyone else in the forum to take a look on the video stat from Google Analytics and Google Adsense. You guys can check out everything in the video. However, if you feel something is missing or you are not satisfied just reply back and I will host a live session for you to come and check everything over TeamViewer.

Since the thread is popping everywhere, it has damaged my business directly and indirectly. Many brokers are already asking me about this thread, and this was the only to clear the mess.

While everything is at peace from my side, I didn?t able to understand why SkyrocketSEO approached the forum without even asking about the stats. I was only disappointed because of this, and you can clearly see my anger in previous posts.

Furthermore, some users there tried to bully me on the thread while running a simple search in Google about my username. I don?t know why they are trying to do such things without even hearing or completely learning about the story.

Many of you had already claimed lot of things about my blog, such as no value traffic, no search engine traffic, fake traffic, cheap content, but no one able to figure the niche of the blog / website.

If everything was very low-quality then how I managed to get couple of Techmeme backlinks, and if the author was so dull than how he managed to write on other blogs?

Well, I am not here to pick a fight against my online business or myself. You guys have your own reasons to post aggressive replies but I cannot able to understand the fact. In fact, I never expected such thing from high-level forum members.

Flippa is going downhill. Here is my personal experience. One day, I saw my account linked to some other profile and I proactively reported it to flippa stating that it was a mistake. The step they take is that they ban me and guess what I bought sites worth close to 30k on flippa... not even a seller..yet they ban me and if you send questions too many times, they just ignore you. So, to all guys don't expect much from flippa...They will allow scammers to list items but a genuine buyer gets banned and no courtesy from their end to reply either. AVOID...

Watched the video. It clears us all. OP, if you want to humiliate someone (because you jealous), try research before doing that. Is what you think fact or not. The video is big punch for you, this proves the data is real, not fake like you said here:

Ok, so let's take a random auction like this one
https://flippa.com/3036536-10k-adsense-in-9-months-with-3million-traffic

This guy claims to have 3 mil UVs, bla bla bla....everything about this site is fake. and then ......

I don't know why you guys are sticking up for that seller, his previous sale was scam101

It's not that everyone is retarded it's just that people have too much trust. Sure some people think "Oh yeah let me spend $7,000 on this site that's making $12,000 a year, easy $5,000 profit in one year." but most people think "wow, this guy is giving me a great deal everything on the internet is true!"

It really comes down to research and knowing what a site is worth. I am not sure if the guy is a scammer or not, but I wouldn't buy 90% of the sites listed because they all seem too good to be true. I am sure you can find great sites to buy, but most seem sketchy at best.

After my bad experience with flippa not sure i'll be going back anytime soon lol

I managed to sell two sites on flippa but not very happy with it. Most bidders could not evaluate value of the site and alexa and traffic to much weighted. I Have sites with little traffic but good income , people does not appreciate good quality sites.

Yeah some of the numbers you see on there are just outrageous

Fair question, xtopzi.

We've expanded our support/customer success team with more people in Melbourne and San Francisco - considering a lot of our users are in the US it's important for us to offer support in their timezone.

Flippa also has a devoted team on marketplace integrity, this means reviewing sites like the one above, checking it against our internal (and other) fraud tools and taking action.

We're looking at rolling out some new features over the coming weeks and months to double down on marketplace integrity and smack down on some shady users and auctions. This might involve more moderation, etc - I really can't say too much about it at this stage.

Let me say, Flippa is aware of some of the activity on our marketplace and we do our best to keep on top of it and shut it down as soon as we see some. But we're still a small team with a busier marketplace than ever. If you see anything, let us know and we'll check it out, close the auction and ban the user if they are breaking the rules.

an unnamed site I am looking at right now on Flippa is clearly a load of rubbish...it has 4 backlinks and a majestic trustflow of 2, plus just ONE page indexed in Google. ...and he says he has 750,000 visitors a month and earns $46,000 a month on adsense! He went from no visitors in June to half a million in July...lol

Any halfwit can see this is a scam auction.

There is a bid of $100K on this pile of rubbish. When are Flippa going to reveal EXACTLY who bidders are...they MUST be named. Nothing but scams and shill bidding going on at Flippa these days and i have lost all faith in your site.

Why do you not have a team monitoring these obvious scammy auctions? The sad truth is, i think Flippa just care about the listing fee and have abandoned all their principles.

You need to stop the proliferation of scammers of Flippa...find some way to do it! Stop sitting back and turning a blind eye to the obvious scams going on there. if you don't , then you deserve your business collapsing, to be honest

flippa has got decent sites too. but the thing is most of the crap is what attracts people mostly because of listing price. And rest they post proof of traffic adsense screenshots......

yes, it's true that most of the websites on flippa are shit and fake but if you think about it, most of the websites and blogs are crap. So it only makes sense that most of the stuff on sale is rubbish.
On the other hand, it's tough but it's possible to find really good listings there as well.... as some said before, just do your diligence and research.

You have better chances of finding a needle in a haystack than finding a legit website on flippa.

I have been selling on Flippa in the past and made decent amount of money - I believe it was actually SitePoint.com in the past then then moved into Flippa.com the reason I don't see anything now is exactly because of the reason mentioned.

People don't know how to differentiate good value products from trash.

So if you put in time and build something great people will bid crap on it but when you over exaggerate and inflate the numbers people jump on it like flys.

It didn't resonate with my values so I quit it and better off without it. So many folks out there that getting scammed and then they thank the seller for it that's the absurd part.

I guess its always my option Z for a rainy day hahaha

I had a very bad experience selling my site on flippa, site is making more than $6000 per month for 8 months, ranking for all keywords ,I provided video proof of my network for earnings and not a single person bid.But sites like this one cappy one, buying fake traffics, low income, people keep buying

and yes the buyers are very stupid on flippa ,see how many already bids for this crap.

This happens alot, you should have hired a broker for a fraction of the percentage...Meathead is a popular go to guy but only deals with sites that have a higher exchange value of above $50k but there are many others on BHW that you can contact...

I believe Flippa lacks a foolproof method to deal with fraud and resulting to using proprietary software tools is only making things worse coz they lack industry experience - eg. Google and Alexa have industry experience, that's why its hard to cheat them with fake traffic. My suggestion was to coin each site as an independent company legally registered and with documents to proof its existence instead of just a site. There must be proof of income based on taxes submitted to the IRS and so forth. Evaluating these sites, in my opinion Flippa must hire competent lawyers to verify all claims. Just like the way offline businesses are sold...there shouldn't be much difference. Link checking and visitors claims verification could be done through partnering with large web traffic auditing firms like Alexa instead of using proprietary software because that's like trying to reinvent the wheel. Partnerships with reputable web audit firms would greatly rescue the collapsing service. That's my two cents.
