Is using bots on vps illegal?

Vps server is 24/7 on with high speed internet.I m living in India please tell me running bots on a vps if legal or illegal as my 1 friend tell me illegal . Plz help.. I m running seo bots, email sender bots, seo bots like scrapebox,senuke,etc etc etc for marketing seo..I also run hitleap viwer and etc but i did not harm any one like hacking

I also scare my friends like this and am from India too. Bro, there is no problem in running any bot unless it steals people's identity or their financial details.

I doubt it's illegal - unless the bots are doing anything illegal. It's more likely (if anything) to be against some TOS somewhere along the line. But who cares

It's illegal if they're cracked or nulled, and it's illegal if they're automating illegal actions. Otherwise, it's perfectly legal
So it depends entirely on what they're doing, and how that fits into the broader picture...

What bots are you trying to run? It would depend upon what you are trying to do. If something is legal to run on your home computer, then it is legal to run it on a vps too.

Define illegal
The worse that might happen (if you abuse the website in question) is to get your accounts banned. You need to spread the actions you are doing to make them look legit.
Never abuse those websites and use private proxies.

Those aren't illegal. But your VPN provider might ban you for mail spamming. Get a bulletproof VPS host and you're all good.

The medium that you use a bot on does not matter. The task of the specific bot is what would make it illegal or not. There are very few bots in the "internet marketing" niche that would be considered illegal to use in some countries. Most "illegal" bots are centered around fraud / credit card scam, etc. Not building backlinks, or managing your social accounts.
