If you want social signals for your website, then +1's are the way to go.
If you want followers for you Google Plus profile, then followers are for you. I really can't which one is better since they are not in the same league. They serve different purposes.

Can you drip feed the Test package over 10 days ?

We usually extend the deliver of the test package over 3-4 days. This is because the required quantity of the test package would be met with 3-4 promotions.
If we were to promote further, we'd just be delivering over the requested quantity, and not extending the deliver of the package.

Our followers are 100% real google+ users. We do not own nor control the accounts, and they follow you willingly.
But as far as interactivity, I can't really say because people don't use G+ very much lately. The turn around time would be around 15-20 days for 1000 Followers.

We mostly promote our social signals & +1's in this thread. At the current rate, the followers are non-targeted.
The rate and delivery time for US only targeted followers would be ridiculous, so we don't advertise it as an alternative.
