Where do you outsource your promotional video creation?
how much per video?

Not just slideshow videos but kinda like this:

Tried googling and found "professional" video services that cost thousands of dollars.

Also found testimonial video creation from

Great packages where you can pick actors for the testimonials but little pricey

I think studio work is usually overpriced.

i use elance. i post a small job and make it clear that it will lead to larger projects if the work is good. i make the bids public, which makes it more competitive.

You can try the same strategy on forums. Sitepoint, digitalpoint, graphics & media forums...

How much do you usually pay from people at elance? If you don't mind please share the price range.

From the above url I got $12 for 30 seconds vid, that's just for basic slideshow and text.
For additional features like watermarking, voices, etc. we have to pay more

I think for the quality of video you posted above at vimeo, you'd pay $10-15 bare minimum per video from a just-out-of-school-trying-to-get-some-good-reputation freelance newb.

It depends on the volume though. If you need a lot of videos, you could break it into pieces and have 1 guy do the graphics work, another do the voice, and another edit it together for the final cut. If you manage it right, you might get it for less.

If you thought the work studioc-video-pro did was good, you could get better for cheaper (or free) by just going to animoto .com

That's probably how they made those videos anyway.

What kind of prices do you folks reckon are fair for these video creation services?

The folks at studioc are charging $14 for a 30 sec video and $24 for a 60 second video.

Perhaps some comparisons might be helpful?

If you don't mind please share the price range you usually get, I too want to search for comparison for video creation service.

Studioc as far as I know offers a good price, animoto also offers free video creation and submissions to vid sharing sites, no doubt it's a great free service.
Studioc saves my time searching for graphics for the videos though.
