TV Show Site - Nice traffic!

Op - adsense will care 100%.
I run a movie site and I had the same problem. I was using adsense and as soon as they sniffed it out BOOM!

Right now I use three methods - CPA/Clickbank banners. Typically the offer that is "intall" a TV toolbar works but not as much as you think. I have been running "Text your exback" banners and that converts like two times every 20,000 impressions at $40 per sale.

Second method is TLV Media They don't care where you traffic comes from. They have banners, pop ups and interstitials. You can no CPM or cpa. I am getting an ePCM of $.32 which is not bad when you start getting a lot of views. I think it would be higher but have the clickbank banner in the 728X90 spot.

Third method is That's my referral link if you choose to sign up under me :). The non referral link is: This is weird because it's like a paid movie subscription service. People come to my site to watch free movies so I would never ever think that they would pay for this service but they do. I have Play and Download buttons under the video and a small flashing "Watch in HD" button under the video title. If they click those instead of clicking directly on the video to play it redirects them to a site that charges. I get like 1 sale every 300 clicks at a CTR of 10%.

If you start doing huge number you can see a nice chunk of change. Make sure your server can handle the volume because you will see your traffic continue to grow.

Good Luck.

Wow thanks for all of that detailed information! Do you still run the movie site you have? Have you tried any other clickbank products aside from that one or? I have applied to TLV Media now so I guess I will wait and see what happens.

Funny you mention affiliate-robot, I signed up a couple of days ago but got no confirmation email or anything and haven;t heard from them since so might try signing up again and will be sure to use your affiliate link.

When you say make sure your server can handle it, I use ipage hosting, what do I need to make sure of?

Thanks again!

What methods are you using to get traffic? (If you don't mind sharing)

I've been trying to get into the TV/Movie niche for a while. I did used to run a sports PPV streaming site a few years ago and made some nice little money from it, but that was when I could get away with using content lockers and YouTube as my main traffic source.

Most of your visitor came to your site because they want to view TV shows FREE. You should not and can not force them to do something/pay for viewing, because they do not want to do it. It's waste their time.

In my own view, you should try short link ( ad.fly or something ), try some pop-up network, or pay-per-click ( no adsense), or give them some interesting thing after they view tv shows ( free software to view tv online - pay per down, or content-block to see newer tv shows, or offer them adult cpa as banner, popup - inbox me if you interest adult cpa, i can give network that pay ppl, but i do not guarantee income ).

Hope you will sucess.

Purely SEO, nothing else just focusing on increasing SERPs for specific keywords.

A good way to make money with your site is via popunders.

Hello Baysey,

I know there's another program similar to affbuzz with higher payout and better conversions. I know a few guys are well off from promoting that affiliate program. Would you be interested?

Hi all, I have a TV show site which is pretty new and pulling in about 1300 uniques a day with about 3000 pageviews (this number is increasing dramatically (4 days ago it only pulled in about 500 uniques).

However I have searched through just about every thread on this forum on monetizing a tv show site and can't find anything that is good. I am not hosting the content I am linking to other sites that do so I cannot content lock and I do not want to either as it is a tv show site not movie so people watch lots frequently, they won't be wanting to fill out survey after survey e.t.c.

I have tried CPA with affbuzz however even with many clicks there are no conversions so I am at a bit of a loss here, any help would be ideal, I'm thinking maybe a couple of good CPM networks would be the way to go but am open and wanting any suggestions you may have.

You can create a site like dailyotion. And build advertising payment for your own website. However this requires dedicad server hosting in general. Because shared hosting is not robust received very few resources.
