TV Show Site - Nice traffic!

Hi all, I have a TV show site which is pretty new and pulling in about 1300 uniques a day with about 3000 pageviews (this number is increasing dramatically (4 days ago it only pulled in about 500 uniques).

However I have searched through just about every thread on this forum on monetizing a tv show site and can't find anything that is good. I am not hosting the content I am linking to other sites that do so I cannot content lock and I do not want to either as it is a tv show site not movie so people watch lots frequently, they won't be wanting to fill out survey after survey e.t.c.

I have tried CPA with affbuzz however even with many clicks there are no conversions so I am at a bit of a loss here, any help would be ideal, I'm thinking maybe a couple of good CPM networks would be the way to go but am open and wanting any suggestions you may have.

Have you try adding ads to the site? Like adsense, cj, chikita ... and many others...
 
Use chitika or ad.fly until you get MASSIVELY monstrouous amounts of traffic.

After that, send an email to adsense asking them to review your site. If it gets TONS of traffic from the US/UK/CA they will consider it.
 
where does your traffic come from?
try content locker pro with firstpage signup/zip offers...
 
try using link locker maybe, it converted for me.Although the conversion rate is very low but still it converts :) hope it helps.
 
Surely adsense wouldn't consider it even with massive amounts of traffic as it links to copyrighted content?

Also yes I can't use content lockers as I don't host the tv shows.

And my traffic is mainly UK / US
 
You need to have huge traffic to make money with your site. As you know the visitors want to get the tv shows for free so you don`t have many options to monetize your site.

At the moment I'm thinking CPM banners would be the way to go? However can anyone suggest some CPM networks that would allow TV Sites?
 
Monetize through adf .ly - for example you could redirect to adf. ly when people wanna watch an episode.
Also, you could put up some stuff like - "installation of xvid plugin required" before they can watch a show (should pop up like 10% of the times NOT always).

Op - adsense will care 100%.
I run a movie site and I had the same problem. I was using adsense and as soon as they sniffed it out BOOM!

Right now I use three methods - CPA/Clickbank banners. Typically the offer that is "install" a TV toolbar that you see on a lot of CPA networks converts but not as much as you think. I have been running "Text your exback" banners and that converts like two times every 20,000 impressions at $40 per sale which is good money if you are doing 20K impressions per day.

Second method is TLV Media [http://www.tlvmedia.com/] They don't care where you traffic comes from. They have banners, pop ups and interstitials. You can do either CPM or CPA with them. I am getting currently getting an ePCM of $.32 which is not bad for un-targeted traffic and when you start getting a lot of views it ads up. I think it would be higher but have I have the clickbank banner in the coveted 728X90 spot on top of my page.

Third method is Affiliate Robot. That's my referral link if you choose to sign up under me :). The non referral link is: http://affiliate-robot.com/site/ . This is weird because it's like a paid movie subscription service. People come to my site to watch free movies so I would never ever think that they would pay for this service but they do. A rep from the company contacted me so I decided to just give it a try and I got conversions. I have Play and Download buttons under the video and a small flashing "Watch in HD" button under the video title. If they click those instead of clicking directly on the video to play it redirects them to a site that charges. I get like 1 sale every 300 clicks at a CTR of 10%.

If you start doing huge numbers you can see a nice chunk of change. Make sure your server can handle the volume because you will see your traffic continue to grow.

Yeah I would stay away from a content locker. People want a quick way to watch a tv show and I don't think will waste time filling out an offer when there are so many similar sites. Like Capp said, go with CPA offers, popup offers, etc. CPM will be lower but with you traffic it will still make some good money.

Find an offer that converts right on email. I'm pretty sure some people would definitely fill it out, but if it doesn't convert quickly, probably leave the site.

And there are good CPA offers out there with this niche. *cough* Downloads! VLC Player, media players, video download programs! *cough*
