Depends on what the domain is like. The more links you get the less valuable they become.

Generally speaking, no - unless it's a very high authority domain like wikipedia.

Depends on the PR of the actual site, but usually it's better to have more diversity when it comes to domains.

In the past, yes it was better to have more, nowadays i don't think there's any value unless the links are on a very reputable domain as already said

Having 100 links from 1 domain isn't too terrible, now if you had, 10,000 links from 1 domain i'd say you'd be moving slowly into the penalty territory.

The rules of thumb I follow are:

1. No sitewide links
2. Diversify links as much as possible, the more domains and unique c class ip's pointing to you the better!
