Some idiot reuploaded one of my videos, wanted to submit a copyright complaint but I've used a profile with a fake name and data.
Youtube says that I risk my account if I submit fake infos.
Is that true? will I lose my account submitting a complaint for a stolen video? anyone in the same situation has found a solution?

That is why I always recommend everyone to watermark their videos with your domain written in small letters in the bottom.

mine was watermarked, a big watermark. so copyright complaint is not a good idea?
well, let's flag the shit out of that idiot. I've got some accounts...

Just flag them. It will be removed soon or later. Happened to me couple of times, I flagged the video with 3-4 acc and in couple of hours it was removed so as the account associated with it.

I believe fiverr gigs can help you even faster.

Looks like this was clearly your fault. If you care so much for your digital work, why didn't you submit your real info in the first place as you knew (or HAD to know) that stealing videos on YouTube and any other video platform happens everyday.

pay someone to report him with many IDs, it's expensive and risky because you've to re-do this each time if he re-uploads the video

Meh, own fault.

If you're using original content why not just use your real info from the start.

Could still try a DCMA from a real google account I guess.

That's the worst advice ever. You want your domain EVERYWHERE in the video, but make the letters somewhat transparent and not to annoying. That way, people won't just crop your video and cut out your domain as it will be showing up everywhere in the vid.

I love stealing videos, it makes making money with YouTube so much easier. Why waste your time making videos when you can steal others hard work?

I would also recommend that you bookmark your videos. If anyone steals it, it will be hard for them to take full control of it. Just add a good attractive watermark of your website address.

This guy forgot to add a way to monetize the video and got his channel banned for stealing videos from the wrong person... he is for sure an idiot.

bro there are hundreds of thousands of videos being stolen and reuploaded as we speak, why so mad

Watermark your videos and encourage people to steal & upload them! It's basically free advertising! I love it when my videos get stolen and reuploaded, causing nothing more than an increase of organic traffic!
