you know I just found this out tonight, I have about $45 in there from a few months back, I logged in tonight, and after 90 days no activity (sales) they start to deduct $1 per day until you make another sale, a bit annoying really and put me off promoting cb...

Before setting off to sell ClickBank products, make sure you verify the product isn't utter crap. Also make sure the sales page is strong enough to make you want to buy the product. These are two mistakes I made when I first got started.
I spent a ton of time with keyword research, making videos, doing social bookmarking, etc... All this, to sell a shitty item. Crap items do get refunded back.
Don't try to sell a great product that has a lousy sales page, unless you're willing to create a better sales page!
You can make the item sound as great as you'd like, but if the customer is completely put off, by the quality of the sales page, then you just lost a sale.

Here's my advice to all of you guys - you don't make money in Clickbank, CPA or any affiliate network. You make money in your niche by helping people and making strong, honest and relevant recommendations on products.

I have a blog in the health niche. I have articles that help people do cleanses, detox and improve digestion. I promote products in my niche.

People follow the advice and get help. They end up trusting my recommendations.

I promote products on Clickbank that are course oriented and in my niche. I review them and send traffic to these guys.

I could as easily promote an eBook on eJunkie, Amazon or even some CPA products.

My niche and the fact that I'm helpful is what makes me money.

ClickBank can go away and I'll have to find other places to make me money.

Here's an example - I used to promote Eden Biodome Revolution (an eBook on CLickbank). The guy delisted his book and went away to some other affiliate network. I stopped promoting his book and started promoting another eBook on Clickbank in it's place.

In time I'll start making money again on this new product.

Does that make sense?

Stop looking at Clickbank as the "way" to make money. It's just a part of your overall strategy.

A good niche site will use ClickBank, Amazon and whatever other affiliate network is relevant to you to make money.
