I have one book currently at 100+ pages, rest of them are around 20-50 pages (3k - 5k words). The only reason I have been so quick with my last 2 books is because they both contain the same general information but each have some info changed for the specific subject.
Quick Update:
10 Books published. 32 sales. 2 Borrows.
Currently each day seems to be getting better and better on the sales
As stated earlier in the thread my books are on the lower price range (0.99 - 1.99) and I am thinking of increasing the prices sometime next month to see if it effects the sales. Personally I would prefer to go for lots of sales at the cheaper range than a few at the higher range. Solely because more customers = more potential for list building.

I know this is your thread, and I do not want to step on your toes. I just wanted to tell you back when you were away for 4 days I think I checked this thread three times a day hoping for an update. I know people have mentioned they would follow a thread if I started one, but I had an idea. Rather than another thread on Kindle, would you want me to help occasionally here with updates on my journey. That way the thread updates more frequently and we can help people twice as fast with more updates. I do not want to step on your toes, so if you want this to just be your journey, I will stay a fan and start my own.
I wanted to just run it by you. If you want to PM me and let me know, or discuss here, fine by me.

My plan is to build lists and then promote affiliate products. You could put a link to your website which promotes affiliate products though.I'd like to make a couple of suggestions.
1. You can outsource - pay somebody between $50-$100 on some freelancer website to write you a book
2. Erotica sells very well. Either put on a porn on and write in what you see in the movie or pay somebody else to write it. Obviously this niche is far, far away from what you have been writing, but it should bring you more profit.

I'll give an update on the sales tomorrow as it will be the final stats for the month of January
Not a lot of sales since my last update.I was hoping to get 4 books published and one sale this month so everything so far is going a lot better than I expected. When I update tomorrow I'll set myself some new goals to reflect on how things have gone this month.

Same here. I looked last night and my only book had no sales or reviews for past 24 hours.
My ranking dropped too big time. I need to really get some more sales to get to the top of the pages where the buyers are.
I am writing a book today, decided to do my own cover this time in PhotoShop. So my only cost will be $5 to have it formatted. I should have this 2nd one listed by tomorrow evening.

January Stats Update:
10 Books Published - 45 Sales (net) - 3 Borrows - 18 New Email Subscribers - 2 Affiliate Signups
Note: 2 books are currently in free promo period so sales, borrows and email subs came from 8 books.
February Goals:
The plan for February is to try and double the number of books published and double January's sales. As I have a bit of spare money available later in the month, I plan on outsourcing at least one fiction book to test the profitability. I will also spend a bit of time actually promoting the fiction book once it's complete.
Depending on how burnt out I get from writing I may also spend some time promoting my current books to try and reach my ultimate target of an average of 1 sale per day per book.

Things improved for me last night as well. 4 more sales and cracked page 1 for all my keywords. Finished my book last night, 8,000 words, formatting now and listing tomorrow.

Just published book number 11. It's around 30 pages (5k words) and is a longer edited version of another book I've already published. The other I charge 1.99 for but this one is going to be for 2.99. It hasn't even fully gone live across all the sites yet and has already had 1 borrow.
I've read that borrows can sometimes work out as better revenue than sales. Will be interesting to see the stats from January's 3 borrows when the reports are generated on the 15th.
Planning on starting book 12 tomorrow in a completely different niche as all my books are currently focused around only 3 niches. Going to try something completely different for the next one.
When my new book goes on free promo either tomorrow or Wednesday I would really appreciate some reviews

Book 1 is in it's 6th day, 14 reviews ---- 13 sales, 10 USA 2 UK and 1 Germany!!!! Insane right???
Book 2 is in the free promo with 181 downloads, will be live tomorrow.

I draw most of the material I have used so far from websites. Like using guides and such from related websites
I do plan on sourcing some clickbank ebooks for my next book and having a go at re-writing them.Insane that you have more reviews than sales
