Permanently Closed Marketplace Sales Thread

People building links like this are just asking for a penalty. This isn't capitalism in the marketplace anymore, it's BHW trying to regulate a marketplace....just like the government is doing with healthcare.

Marketplaces succeed when there are options, not when everyone is forced down the same path.

Question, If all Sellers have to Meet same Requirements, But Different Prices. So what is the Point? New Sellers will not get much results, because the List you Provide, include Full On-Site and Off-Site SEO. plus Social Media Marketing. and these Packages Comes with 300-400$ Per Site Per Month Minimum Order prices. So If 1 Person offer it at 300$ and 2nd Offer it at 200$, What will Happen? and as far I read the rules of this forum, To get Approved One have to give a Free Trial of his/her Biggest Package as a review Copy. So Giving a try for Package cost 700-1100$ as review Copy is it Right? Am not sure If I am getting all things correct but this need to be reconsider for review, for Payment, and For Refunds.

Oh wow so now we are forced to have Yahoo Answers and Article Directory links in our packages? Article Directory Links? 100 Blog Comments in tier 1? Are you also gonna force us to sell linkfarm links in our packages? OR maybe make us include links from deindexed domains?

Forum profiles? Blog comments? Article directory submissions? This is like 2008 stuff. These requirements are going to hurt people's websites. Why wouldn't you make it a bit less broad? Maybe tackle 1 package option, like social, because everyone he knows how hot that is right now. Require all the sections to have all the top social signals available.

Not sure how mass link packages like that could be called "elite" lol it's more or less spam.

Complete SEO packages would have been the way to go without these restrictions on numbers and link types, who actually put these figures together? They're pretty high to be called safe in any respect no offence, like I said and like mentioned above its going to be heavey automation which generally means low quality certainly not elite.

I mean I have and lots of others have all in one seo packages which meet some of those requirements but our links are manual hand built, to manually hand build those numbers listed to qualify for the new section is near impossible, hence it will be mostly automated garbage with ppl lieing the opposite of what's working long term and could be deemed elite.

Why not make the section seo packages but without the restrictions, not hard to tell what a solid full on package is or isn't without those numbers and whats just a singular link type service which wouldn't fit in the new packages section. Just my opinion.

This!

@I_Know_SEO if you think 100 Article Directories + 100 Blog Comments need to be included in every package... you need to include the word "Don't" in your username :)

10% for creativity is nice but on other hand its still limiting sellers.

Seo in many cases dont need FB page creation because buyer already have one, same with twitter. There should be rule "meet section requirements or provide something very valuable (mod approval needed)". For example someone is offering 400 manually made high TR, pr 4+ links (web 2.0 blogs, profiles, document sharing, video, bookmarks etc.) but he dont meet requirements of this section. Such service should be listed here (if mod approve it) because it would be powerfull.

There could be other rule:
40+ links from pr 2+ private blog networks.
or
200+ link from pr 4+ sites like web 2.0 etc.

In result sellers get more place for creativity, buyers get more diversified packages. Nearly same package from XX sellers is not way to go. Buyers are looking for creative packages, something new, not for schemes.

Just my 2 cents :)

P.S.

I think your ideas are better, but this is just a problem overall.

SEO is not static, it's fluid. What works now isn't what worked 12 months ago. Forcing people to sell a specific product that MOST people who actually practice SEO will agree does not work is foolhardy at best.

Keep in mind that I rarely buy packages unless they are something that I am doing or I need to test. I would NEVER be a buyer of an "all inclusive" package because you're just asking for a penalty.

Hope you guys are all doing well, just chiming in as I see quite a few of you asking the same questions regarding the new section and how it differs from the current marketplace section and so on.

Given that I was in charge of creating the example thread which you can view above, I'm hoping I can use the knowledge I gained from speaking to the mods and help shed some light so all you guys out there have a better understanding about this new section!

1. What's the purpose of this new section?

In a nutshell it is designed to help BHW members who are not too well versed in SEO and need help with key vital things such as: keyword research, competitive analysis and on-page seo optimization. Also it is for members who are looking for an ALL-in-One monthly service that offers everything they need from social signals to quality blog posts to youtube videos. This way all members get a nice mixture of various link types that are safe and effective post Penguin.

2. Why so many links, is it dangerous?

Although upon first glance it may appear that the requirements are a bit over the top, we must note that each package will be carried out over the course of an entire month, so when you compare it to the current packages being offered on BHW, it pretty much equals the same amount of links being built per day.

3. Will ROI for sellers will be low if quality manual links are expected?

This was a thought of ours as well but if you take a look at our package price you will see it is set at $300-$500 range which although is quite higher then most existing services being offered here on BHW, it is however a price point that allows the buyer to get the most for his money while still leaving sellers with a good profit margin without comprising the quality of the service being offered.

4. Are the package requirements fixed and non flexible?

As I Know SEO mentioned above, the requirement's listed are the minimum requirements needed in each package, HOWEVER, you may add special "extras" that differentiate yourself from other packages that will be offered in the new section. But keep in mind, the minimum requirements are to be met and if they cannot, then 10% of it may be switched out for other activities in its place.

Hope this helps answer any questions you guys may have, and as always please feel free to add me on Skype and I will be more then happy to help any of you guys out!

You consider blog comments and wiki posts "safe" and effective? The end result is these members who are new to SEO will be penalized. That doesn't help anyone in this situation. If you want to help new members, offer a training guide explaining how SEO works and what various types of links do and how they can benefit and be hurt by SEO. Don't force toxic links on newbies.

^ This.

If you want to help the new guys in IM, how about not approving every shitbag fiverr-style service that comes across the Mod's inboxes? Triple the price of starting a new BST and delete BST that have had no activity for more than a few months.

Personally, I wouldnt have any interest in the link package outlined. I am going to give the benefit of the doubt and presume its meant as an outline of structure and only an example of the way a package should be presented and not a blueprint for every seller in this section........cause that would be a bit odd ?

People are still getting hung up on the number of links. Its like fiverr. In 2014 anyone that is trying to build and maintain web real estate would rather ten good links than five thousand spammy ones.

What I would like to see is review copies placed on public record for buyers to cross examine their product with the benchmark. I realise some mods are using the reviews to rank their own sites(and thats fine its one of the few perks) hence they wouldnt want their sites and niches outed but if some test sites could be put forward for review purposes.....for example BST sellers who are selling completed sites could work a deal with linkbuilders.......That part would need negotiation but the BST is full of people asking for reviews and hoping they get what they paid for. If a standard review copy was available for all you would know in two minutes if it was something worth buying.

These kind of restrictions and ridiculous requirements will only accomplish one thing: a pure sh#tstorm.

I made a suggestion a while ago:

http://www.blackhatworld.com/blackhat-seo/forum-suggestions-feedback/637225-some-suggestions-we-head-into-2014-a.html

Why not focus on preventing/eliminating crap, rather then welcoming more and even worse encouraging it?!

These "requirements" are DEF not long term SEO - I mean what possible benefit is a twitter profile with 1,000 (fake) followers???

I hate to sound negative, but this is going to accomplish the exact opposite of what the goal is.

So basically what you guys want is to essentially keep it the same, but cleaned up?

The sheer number of links requirement is ludicrous. You can offer complete SEO packages with 10% of those link amounts that will rank far higher and overall be a lot safer. I do like the requirements of social media into the packages. I have moved into a lot more PBN links. Anyone who offers quality SEO services will have PBN style links in their packages moving forward. These are the majority of the weight of most campaigns.

Designing these packages with link spam in mind undermines the entire point of protecting "newbies". Your essentially removing the ability for those who actually have quality all inclusive services and forcing them to change their methods to conform to outdated techniques if they want exposure here. I would really like to have a thread here but I refuse to even offer sub par services. Forcing 1000's of low quality links is not the way google is moving in 2014.

The best idea would be to just put all "Full SEO Packages" in the section and not limit it to any restrictions, its very simple to see which is a full service and which is just selling for example one link type like bookmarks.

I mean what about the "Quality over quantity" here guys? What about the "SEO PACKAGES" which build lower packages but do so manually and so a lot better? But under these terms will be ommited from this new section. I'm all for moving the "full package" services into their own section then keeping the singular services in "link building" but these restrictions well to put it bluntly they make absolutely no sense at all?

^^This is what worries me too, especially to us sellers that have been here for a long time and invested heavily in providing great services over the years, I certainly can't see myself conforming to these guidelines, which is a shame because I'd love to get into that new section as sticky availability for advertising is slim in the current Link Building section and its over crowded, real pity about these restrictions.

I think the owners and mods should seriously rethink this before going ahead with it on the 1st of Feb, maybe even approach some of the long term sellers here and get their views on it? Or approach some of the regular buyers and get their views? From the small selection of comments here already you can see how people are feeling....

I was very pleased when I saw the title of this thread. But then I read the OP and was sorely disappointed.
I don't provide SEO services so I can't speak from the perspective of a seller. But as a regular buyer of SEO packages, I would have no interest in any packages that would be posted in a section with the requirements as laid out. And you're going to actually end up *splitting* SEO packages into two different BST sections, instead of consolidating them for the benefit of both buyers and sellers.
The real advantage of a dedicated section, to a buyer, would be the ability to easily find and compare available packages instead of forcing him to sift through all the crap in the current link building section.
This plan will just, IMO, force sellers to create new packages (that wouldn't sell well except to newbies) for the new section, and continue to post their "real" packages in the existing BST. That doesn't improve anything for serious buyers.
I strongly urge the mods to consider all of the nearly unanimous feedback here, from both buyers and sellers, before proceeding with this plan.

I feel like SDSEOGURU and I Know SEO thought of this together to get more visibility for SDSEOGURU's packages

And I think this is the wrong way to go about it - since those links are not safe by any means and too restrictive

I feel its unfair that there will be a new category created OUTSIDE of the Marketplace section (am I mistaken) or OUTSIDE of the SEO link Building section

If it's created under the SEO link building section, then I have no worries

IMO, there's nothing wrong here, directories and wikis still have their place in SEO, just don't be a fool about it and they still work.

I will use some of these new services, although admittedly i'll be using them mostly for testing, but if the situation doesn't call for certain types of links, i will PM the provider and ask them to remove or switch those links for something else before i buy it.

I know SEO, it would be worthwhile to consider another requirement in these services, a proper audit, that might calm the sh*tstorm a little. SEO providers know when certain types of links could be effective and should have the ability to say "hang on before i start your campaign, i think we would be better off switching x for y, what do you think?"

This way, everything is on offer but the experts get to truly help the newbies, which is the whole purpose of the new section right?

Just to make this clear i asked SDSEOGURU to help with designing this package to use as an example, i am not supporting his service over anyone else's and he has not received any special treatment in the review of his new service. Due to the time and work spent helping me with this i have used his thread as an example and that has obviously given him some extra advertising for free as a thank you.

I would like to say thank you to all the members who have offered advise for this section and some really valid points have been made, i feel i need to revalidate some aspects of this section before the launch on the 1st February. I will update this thread with any amendments we make it the next few days.
