Please, help me to find out what's wrong !?!

Hi mates,

I have an EMD in a niche which is like exact-matchdomain.com
I did a first version of this website 3 years ago, but it was crappy. I didn't take care of it and after a certain time it was down, I decided to think about it.
So I did a new version of the website 18 months ago, with a high end tailor made webdesign, quicker to load, with a new approach to seduce and keep users on my website.

After 1 year of launching the new website, it was not ranking again on the most competitive keywords, only long tail keywords providing little traffic. It was even in last position for the main keyword in the Google index.
I had no message in Google Webmaster Tools, but I decided to have a closer look at my linkbuilding and discovered that I had to clean it a bit. This is what I did.

However, site is still not ranking and I don't find out why !! I am getting mad, so this is why I request your help to let me know what you would do if yo were me. I can give the URL throught private message if needed.

There's your problem. Target more longtail keywords, or do better SEO for the more competitive keywords.

I target thousands of keywords, that's not the matter. I have various anchor texts, but something else is wrong.
