Well guess I have ventured to the darkside ... I have a niche where a video that is obvious spam, like blatant spam just won't budge off the Google serps ... I have created videos and optimized head to toe from file to name to views to comments to backlinks and though these videos have risen to the top of Youtube Search, it won't displace an rather annoying blasphemous video on Google serps ... Would flagging get this guy out ? and if so - where do i begin ?

As far as I know flagging will only get YouTube to take a look at the video. If it breaks their T.O.S. then it can be deleted by them, but if not, I don't think much would happen. I don't have much experience with flagging though, I prefer trying to outrank the competition, rather than resorting to flagging.

Don't fall into the trap of focusing too much on your competitors and not your own content.

I totally agree on that and I have to add that it may piss you off but flagging won't do much cause they get fake flags all the time.

Flagging will get you nowhere buddy, try outranking them with HRV and Backlinks

Flagging would actually probably work well if you have the appropriate bot + proxies + a few YT accounts. One flag would not make a dent I would think, especially if this user has many subscribers or views.
