F**K Anxiety and HBP

I think anxiety is very genetic. It seems almost everyone in my family suffers. Most of us have a mild case but some have an extreme case, to the point where we worry for their life. If I could give one piece of advice it would be don't give in. Fight that s*&t till the day you die and don't let it stop you from doing the things you want to do.

That's why I actually joined BHW for, to help people get rid of that sort of BS

Read The Present on the truth contest website, at least page 4 if you wanna just skip the other ones, it's completely free, not even ads

It helped me out on really tough times, and it has freed me, you know? Imagine a world where you only think when you have to, not 24/7 like now, and even in sleep.

Like Charlie Chaplin said, "we think too much, but feel too little" Just wanna spread the anti BS word, that's it.

@Twixx

No, nothing like that. I don't mind interacting with people, but sometimes I consider myself anti-social.

Thanks guys for your comments and time to read the post.

I feel a lot better now. I did exercise for about 30 min., went to work and told the anxiety to go and f**k somebody else!!!

It's all in your mind. Really, you can get rid of it in 1 second and i shit you not :) For a few months I had panic attacks, and the only thin i was scared of was .... to not have a panic attack -.- ..so where ever id go id panic to not have a panic attack ..... fun aint it ? :))

And I usually am outgoing confident and like to take on everything that comes my way. But this shit crippled me. I always knew that it's only inside my mind and that i could get rid of it easily but I couldn't untill i just simple finally decided that i want the old me back ...and voila ..it was gone ...
now thinking about it it really shims like the dumbest thing ever to have panic attacks or to be anxious about anything.

Try deep breathing,this will clear your mind and you will instantly feel relax

I took antibiotics 14 mths ago and thats when my anxiety started and never went away. :(

Beta blockers do the world of good. 8 - 10 years I put up with fucking misery from panic attacks and anxiety. I hated taking medication after being put on anti depressants, they made me fucking mental. I was offered beta blockers, which I took from my doctor, but never tried as I thought they would be the same shit as anti depressants. A year or so later I had no option but to try them, and I cannot believe the difference they made. From within a month or two I went from a twitching fucking retard to someone who could actually go out and do normal things. Before I was at the point were I needed to drink several cans of Stella before I would even consider going out of my house / comfort zone.

Yeah i have tried many different anti-depressants which all gave me flu-like symptoms and i could not last more than 3-4 days on that crap. My anxiety keeps me awake at night and i have not had a full night sleep in over a year, and wake up feeling exhausted every day and i look like a raccoon when i look in the mirror. The anti-anxiety meds work great with me, although my doc wont give me more than a weeks worth of pills. Going to look into the Beta blockers.

Actually 160/100 is not that bad blood pressure, i mean it's not the best but definitely not the worst, a friend of mine, who's 21 years old, is living with that kind of a pressure on a daily basis and he is happy when it is like that, when it is not going to 200/120.

I also have signs of anxiety, i mean i never panic, i am pretty much strong person, both, physically and mentally, but i do get that feeling like i am about to die sometimes, it feels like i am going to fall in unconsciousness but i don't, it's just that weird feel in head and it is mostly combined with high hearth beat rate ( i feel like it is going above 150 beats per minute ) a pain in the chest and usually just ends up with a headache, i have that feeling for like 10-30 minutes and it just goes away, usually it's catching me when i am outside, either with my friends either with my colleagues during the friendly/business talks and it's a huge issue to keep talking and pay attention while i have a feeling like i am dying lol, but i don't panic, i know it will go away so i just stay cool, but it is also happening at my home as well, so i think it has nothing to do with comfort zone stuff, almost nobody can recognize that on me, except my mom, she can see when it's happening to me in most cases even if i try hide it, i don't want anyone to be worried about me.

But i think it all comes due to a lot of stress, sleepless working nights and overall a lot of working hours, but on a first place - stress, i personally had a lot of stress in last 2-3 years so i think it all comes from there, although besides that, sometimes i get a wave of depression and i feel like i would just fuck everything and kick my self in head because of things i couldn't / can't / didn't changed / did or whatever comes to my mind, but it usually goes away for a day or two.

I was thinking about getting on some medicine like xanax, but there are no good psychiatrist in my area so i would need to get my ass to maybe even another country to get a proper therapy, but i just can't find enough of time to do that and i think that it will just all disappear one day, maybe once some stuffs gets fixed in my life maybe it will go away, who knows...we, human beings, are weird piece of shit hahaha :D.

@Dar1x,

Same here, sometimes I feel that I am about to pass out but it never happens. As for hbp, every time I see it above 140/90 I start to freak out. It makes me think that this is the end.

This thread just shows how common anxiety is though. When i was in hospital id say about three quarters of the folk i was in with had anxiety related issues. One woman had been dealing with it for over 20 years and was getting those electric shocks to the brain and said it had really started to work but think id rather try natural methods to overcome it. As someone has mentioned, its all in the mind. Iv learned to become more aware of when it starts and then take the proper steps to reduce it. Going for a shower, listening to a audio meditation app on my iphone

10 years experience with constant anxiety and panic attacks - now, 95% recovered : after you say fuck you -been there, done that - take a deep breath and just listen to what you (your subconscious) are trying to tell yourself ..just sit down, close your eyes ,breath and wait..you'll get your answers and those are the causes of your anxiety. You won't get all the answers right away but if you start to listen to yourself you'll discover some shocking stuff about why you're dealing with this..it's just your subconscious trying to make you aware of certain issues (habits, life situations, choices,etc) that are bad for you.

By the way I mean no offence to anyone with my description of how I felt, just no other way to describe the situation.

PMSl. I know exactly what you mean, I couldn't look people in the eyes without my head doing involuntary movements (still get it sometimes). I was hammering at least 4 cans of anything before I could even leave the house.

Invited to a meal...forget it!
See someone I use to know walking up the road towards me....180% about turn and scarper.
Any social situation where I couldn't have a bevvy to interact jut wasn't thinkable.

I've slowly but surely just forced myself into situations that I know will make me feel anxious and try to face it head on. I don't let the conversation drop between me and the others I'm speaking too. I make sue there's no room for awkwardness to set off a panic attack.

Before I just avoided the world for years unless I was half cut, this is not the way and will only increase your anxiety. Feeling freaked out sober is one thing, but if you have somewher you must be that's socially awkward and you have to face it with a hangover, hell no!

Another thing is to tell those closest to you. I was to embarrassed to tell others I was on a panic attack. I was so full of confidence when I was younger that I felt weak at now having to admit that I was a shambolic quivering wreck. But I'm glad I did, it has helped relieve building tension that can bring on a panic attack.

Here's a thing too. Those that suffer from social anxiety can see it in others, I can spot another freaker a mile off (lol) Avoid! The last thing you need is someone else in your company on the verge of a panic attack setting one of in yourself.

Also, you may never combat this 100%, even now typing this I'm feeling a bit nervous, but I've got things to do and people to see today, and you can bet your last penny I'm going, you have to! If you don't at least try fight this hellish mind f**k it will dominate your life and most of your waking thoughts.

This might seem unthinkable, but get a job! even some part time volunteer stuff. Interacting with different people on a daily basis will send your confidence soaring, as well as upping your self esteem. Realizing that you're productive member of society will help your self opinion of you go through the roof.

Yeah, that's a panic attack, but you seem to have understand that it won't harm you, which helps you to not panic. That's great. :)

I've had a few, but they have seemed to go away for now. Right now I'm having trouble sleeping at night. My mind starts to think about a lot of stuff at once and I just can't get tired. Maybe too much time on the computer the last year combined with nicotine and caffeine.
