So i know about the 45 days rule about opening dispute, that buyers cant open disputes after 45 days from payment. So now what can they do? Can paypal somehow take the money?

Cheers!

So what now? Money's yours, spend it wisely ;)

What do you mean? I think I am missing something.

Can buyers get refund after that 45 days?
I know about something called chargeback, im not from US, can that be used against me?

After 45 days the buyer cannot ask for a refund which means enjoy in the money :)

After 45 days, the buyer not only is not allowed to file a dispute through PayPal and there also not allowed to file a chargeback with their Credit Card company so the money is safely yours.

Are you sure? Cause ive read that chargeback can be made for up to 2-3 months i think.

If the payment was made via credit card through paypal then I think they have 120 days:

There are a few reasons why a buyer would request a chargeback:

  • An unauthorised payment was made with the buyer's card
  • The buyer didn't receive the item that was paid for
  • There were errors in processing the transaction
  • The item does not match its description
The maximum time a buyer has to file a chargeback with their credit card company is typically 120 days after the expected delivery of the agreed goods or services. Certain exceptions may apply.

And what will happen then? My account will get into negative balance or what?

And if that happens, can i close my account before? Now i have no open disputes, so i guess i can close my account.
Can paypal find me after closing the account?

Bullshit. You have 120 days (VISA Rules) to file a chargeback with credit card company. For my 7 years experience with paypal I had to file 3 chargebacks and all I won.

Veyron I guess you are wrong with the chargeback date. Some card companies here even allow to chargeback within 180 days. Paypal won't do anything after 45 days, but the user can directly call the bank and get your account phucked.

Anybody knows?

If they can successfully charge back on the account then yes your paypal account will show a negative balance. At that time
paypal seeks your bank and credit card attached to the account for funds.

Yes there will be negative balance.

what yayoyayo said is right, what the payment is processed by credit card, you have 120 days to chargeback :detective

We had a merchant account in years gone by, and the bank made it very clear to us that all credit card transactions were open to dispute for 120 days...
In effect, the bank (or PayPal in this case) advances you the money against the likelihood of them being able to keep it and the cardholder not charging back... so it's not really theirs (or yours) for that 120 day period.

This is avaiable only to US citizens?
