Website penalized, can I use the articles elsewhere? (after deindexing)

Hey guys,

A friend of mine got his website penalized (Unnatural inbound links) and I'm wondering if there is any use of the articles from the website.

I'm thinking of deindexing manually the penalized website and using the articles to build a new website. Is this safe for the new website? What do you think?

I would say make a site in a similar niche and use those ones for article directories. Just check to make sure google does not think they are still plaigarized.

The articles are 100% unique and very well written (and they cost a lot)... that's why I would insist to save them somehow!

Yeah, just delete the old website, then add the content to the new website, but don't add it if you keep the old site alive.

When there is no site, ie. a search result does not resolve to content/site, then Google will de-index it/remove it from SERP's.

I might have to hit the kindle market. I wrote a pretty hefty ebook, sadly only 70% complete. But in the end I didn't do anything with it, so it was a waste of time and money so far.

Just delete the nameservers from the domain registrar and the site will be gone.

Why doesn't your friend try and save the website? Recovering from a manual penalty is easier than starting over.

LOL no its not. I file 3 reconsideration requests and denied. Please tell me your secret on how its easy to recover from it.

Remove the unnatural inbound links using disavow, if you cannot decide which are unnatural then remove them all and start over.

I did that on one of my penalized sited. Disawowed all links. Then filled for reconsediration request. Google replied that reconsideration request was denied, because it's not enough just to disawow links, they said I have to contact webmasters, ask them to remove links, etc. But I have over 100K "bad" links... mostly spam blog comments. It's simply impossible to remove them. I don't know what to do know. Any suggestions? Should I abandon this site completely or just to keep building quality links from now?

Deindex the site, wait till it drop, upload your new content and schedule posting, that it my friend, i have done this before and it works greats.

I know the thread is a few months old but I suggest that if anyone plans to do anything like this, you should check to make sure someone hasn't ripped your content and posted it somewhere else. If that happens it won't be original anymore and will look like you plagiarized it.

Remove the pages and set up 410 code on the old pages. Removing the pages or removing the website from your webhost will return 404 errors and eventually google will deindex the pages, but a 410 will make the process much faster. Better to use 410 than 404, as 410 informs the pages have been deliberately removed, whereas a 404 informs an unknown error. Use this if you are running Wordpress http://wordpress.org/plugins/wp-410/

I've seen a tutorial where people scrape content from sites that don't exist any more, which means the answer to your question should be YES, I believe.

For those who say to check if the content is plagiarized, can u please suggest me some tools which you use to perform these checks? I curently use one or two websites, but some new ones wouldn't hurt.
