Website penalized, can I use the articles elsewhere? (after deindexing)

Copyscape is the easiest... quite cheap to.

Also you can try sticking the titles of the artilces or the headings or the fist sentence in quotation marks and simply running a google search to see if any other properties using those exact same words pop up..... but copyscape is you best bet here.

I've tried this (de-index then repost the same content) 3 times in 2014 and its never worked. Once I started re-writing the content, its been fine. My conclusion, Google is using cached data for checking vs dupe content.

However, I've never waited 30 days after the de-index date to repost. Maybe thats the deciding factor. Either way, I'd rater just pay someone to re-write the content today so I can start ranking the new site.

First I would check if those contents are still on Google searches or not (How to check - Copy one line and search with inverted commas or without it)

If not than I would use them in tier 1 links such as web 2.0, article directories and all.
