YT Recent Update - Views No Longer Counting

No that's not the reason.. I talked to few friends and they said it is about sending more requests along with the api/stats/playback and the watchtime... Now just sending these 2 is not going to work...
Hey Umer! Didn't know I'd find you here ;)
Yashar from Skype (:

And I can confirm what Umer says, did a little testing myself aswell.

Hahaha welcome to BHW Yashar... I have been here since the 2011 !

Snckr is the guy I was talking about...

Have papers going on.. + some other reasons.. so can't check right now.. but that's what my friend told me... that sending other requests will work... Have you tried watchpage requests?? Maybe filters on embedded requests are tight??
I'm actually testing out watch page views right now. Working well, but they don't update as fast as embedded. I let the script on my main traffic source for 10 minutes and I took it off. Mixture of embedded and watch page, results:

This may just be the future of it all.

just wanted to say that even regular embed real views are not counting correctly. I have a high traffic website where I embed videos on once in a while. I have a tracker set up which tracks each embedded play. For the past week I tracked 8,800+ real viewers of which only 900 got counted by youtube. Before 12/14 youtube counted 95-99% of these embedded plays. This is pretty frustrating considering these are real viewers.

Hey, are you by any chance using the old embed code?

I am because it's the only way I can track views. I'm not sure if it's possible to do so through the iframe code.

I'm still shuffling through results.

I have other websites that bring 1000+ embed plays per day to videos. I change videos around and it's consistently counting 8-10%.

I would bring this up to support but I don't want YouTube to dig through my videos. And it's not like these viewers accidently played the video and I tricked them into playing it. These are viewers that watch 50%+ and YouTube is saying fuck you and your real viewers.

I'm surprised not many people are complaining about this, but due to the way their recent patch works their filters had to screw the old embed as well. At least if my theory is correct (and it appears to be).

how about people stop giving away ideas to YouTube...
you really want them to read this and make a few more changes to their algorithm, don't you?

talk about parameters and changes in private, create a Skype group etc...

the reason there was an algorithm change is because they found a few scripts
that were being sold publicly and patched them, you think they can't read your
ideas here and change more things?

I'm trying iframe embed now on several different videos through different sites. I'll post results tomorrow.

I figure no one is complaining because no one tracks like this. I would of never realized viewers are not getting counted have I not collected this data outside of YouTube Analytics.

I guess you should report that to the YouTube.... Their new filters has also fu***** up the real views too as in your case.

Anyone knows if the update patched the variables and the way they are generated, or is it server side( better calculation of time spans).

So now we wait until some guy from BHW create any script to get things back to normal !!! :/

I agree I think we should discuss this in private as well

PM me your skypes and ill add everyone to a skype group so youtube cant get there hands on Black hats info unless someone has a group already made

iframe embed seems to be counting the same -- about 10% is getting counted. I wonder if places like virool or ebuzz experience the same since they use the embed method...

My views business running normal like usual.

Believe there many other method still alive.

I don't know about you, but I believe they're not counting my views at all (real and common views)!

Maybe they despise me or my country... I don't know :P
