[YMM Journey] Reselling BHW services + E-commerce + SEO

Hey, I just went through about 80% of your thread. There's two things I'm curious about and I don't believe you have mentioned as of yet:

1. You've said you live in a relatively poor country and English is not your first language. Do you handle the customer chats yourself ? Also, are you the only one working on this project ? (That would imply you're up and ready to answer customer's queries for almost the entire day ?!)
2. I also assume that you're just working as an affiliate 'job agency' for a couple folks here at BHW and that they just let you overcharge people for their services and keep the markup price. Is this correct ?

Best of luck, it was a fairly interesting read. 6/10! ;)

For your SEO campaign, I'm not exactly a pro in the area, but I would keep the campaign going. Aslong as the links aren't complete shite (e.g. spamming guestbooks with your website), then you should be good.

What are you using for chat? I highly recommend Zopim. They have these things called "triggers" which are basically like rules with actions. So for example, if a user has visited 4 pages on your site, but has not popped chat yet, it will actually force open the chat and say "Hey, I see you're browsing around, let me know if you need any help". A great one I used to use, is if the visitor was from New Zealand (Of which I am from), I would have the chat open with something like "Hey, did you know we are a New Zealand based company? Here, have a 10% off coupon on us. Code : NZRocks".

You can do a whole heap of things like pop open when a user is reading a certain page for a long time. I used to have it pop when they were on our terms and conditions page for a while, which meant they were probably reading them closely, and so I wanted to try and put their mind at ease with any part they didn't understand.

Don't let the low sales bring you down man! Shit like that often happens during vacations where people don't spend time on the Internet.

I have to say OP, your thread is pretty motivating to me. I'll start reselling services after I finish my PPD journey. I'm also pretty surprised about the lack of comments on tis thread. Cummon guyz! Give this hardworking fella some support! :D

Hey man, thanks for your kind words! I'm really glad that somebody is being motivated by my thread.

Regarding other people commenting, here are my toughs:

Regarding the low cost sales: Actually, I'm really happy that I made some sales on the Christmas days. People don't spend too much time on the Internet these days, so I'm more than happy that I still managed to get some sales going on.

The amount of visitors is still pretty low for now, and all of them are coming from long-tail keywords. Yet, the traffic converts on 7,5% on average, which is terrific. Here is the stats for the days around Christmas (full update on 24th, because last graph was from the middle of the day):

- Actually not so bad traffic on the 24th, but I wasn't online for the most part of the day.

Here is the conversion rate graph for the same period (23th - 26th)

Thanks for your comment!

1. Yeah, English is not my first language, yet I handle the livechat and support issues all by myself. So, I'm kind of a one-man-army to this project. Even without perfect English skills, I think that I can communicate with my prospects on a decent level, so that they can understand me. Also 99% of them are worried about good quality, fast delivery, and good customer support. If you can deliver that, nobody will correct your grammar errors :)
Also, I'm being online as much as possible during the day, so I can answer any questions.

2. You are semi-correct. Being an affiliate means that you are the middleman who only redirects the prospect to the seller. When you are a reseller, you are the middleman again. However, I pretend to be the company who creates the product, so no - it's not like a job agency. I go to BHW sellers and I explain Im a reseller, ask some questions about their products (so I can give info to my clients), negotiate a price, and close the deal with them. Then I sell their products for a higher price, and this is where my profit comes from.

With this business model, the original seller have no contact with my customers what-so-ever.

Thanks for your comment, and your campaign suggestion! The links are niche related blog comments, and as of now they are not complete shit.

I'm using Zopim, and I'm doing exactly what you are suggesting. These triggers are probably the number 1 reason I have an 8-10% conversion rate, while having only ~10 visitors per day. I'm only paying $14/m as of now for 1 agent, and I'm only allowed to have 2 triggers, but I will update soon, so I can use 10 triggers instead.

It's an interesting approach. I am eager to see more daily stats, as there seems to be a development in your profits, but not quite, as there were some downfalls, right?

I'm already updating the thread everyday, and I plan to continue doing so. The profits are still not stable, because the traffic is very low, I'm only getting 10-12 visitors per day + it's the time of the year, when everybody is on vacation. Once the traffic gets more stable, I believe the profits will too.

very interesting :) Good Luck Buddy :)
and simply this place is awesome !!

Thanks mate! Indeed this place is awesome =)

I'm using a plugin called "WooCommerce Checkout Manager" - it's free.

It allows you to easily remove some unnecessary fields, and add custom ones.

thank you, this is what i've been looking for!
and how if the buyers buy more than 1 services? ex: facebook likes and seo service?

Read the entire thread, showing my support and wishing you luck. What woo commerce theme are you using?

Keep us posted OP. That journey is definitely going to be interesting.
I'm actually quite surprised how fast you managed to generate your first profits.

Currently I'm not offering FB likes and SEO services in the same shop. I wouldn't do it either, for additional (different) products, I plan to build more shops.
However, you can still use the plugin I told you about, and just add additional text input field "Facebook page link".

### Update ###

DAMN! It's taking me forever to finish this project! I was planning to have it completed sooner, and there is still work that needs to be done. As I'm constantly learning new stuff, I'm doing a lot of changes, and this is causing some of the work to be done, then redone, then redone again... My new goal, which I very much plan on achieving is to have this finished by Jan 3rd latest. I must start follow my deadlines, if I want to be successful. I definitely have to work on this.

A few days ago I posted that i was my day #3 at the gym, well... there wasn't day #4 yet. However, tomorrow I will visit the gym for sure, and after this Christmas break, it will be day #1 AGAIN for me. I really have to lose some weight, probably about 20 kilograms at least. I'm currently 104 kilograms (229 pounds), and I need to get back in shape ASAP.

On my personal life again - besides of working, I have a great book of Deepak Chopra lying on my desk, that I want to start reading ASAP. With my current experience I must say that I was most successful when my mind and soul were in peace. Aka spiritual growth. I don't know for you guys, but it's working really well for me. Also, if you are a beginner (like me) in the spiritual growth, I recommend you Deepak Chopra - he's the NUTS.

So, I will really have to work on my time schedule.

Enough of my personal life, traffic is still very low, however, I managed to get 1 order today! Actually I was getting a second order as well, but the credit card of the customer was denied. I have uploaded more product descriptions to the website today, and pretty much nothing else. I guess I'm already having ~8,000 words of unique content. All of this is spread in the product descriptions. There are still plenty of products that do not have descriptions, but writing is very hard for me. As soon as I get some $$$ aside, I will definitely purchase some articles. It's just hell for me, but hey... at least I managed to write about 25 descriptions myself.

Day #14 - 27.12.2013
Total Revenue: $1.50
Total Cost: $0.10
Total Profit: $1.40

So, I promised to go to the gym today, but I didn't. Sadly I also haven't started reading my Deepak Chopra's book yet, but I was planning to start this on the new year anyway.

A few days ago I told you that I installed a plugin that gives clients the opportunity to share their carts and get N% discount. Well, today and yesterday I got at total of 2 orders, and both orders have shared my website. I think it's a great way to get some real social signals easily.

So, as I said, today I got only 1 order, however, here is a total revenue report to keep this journey interesting for you guys.

Day #15 - 28.12.2013
Total Revenue: $2.69
Total Cost: $0.50
Total Profit: $2.19

Just an early update: I just made a sale of a $27 product, and the day is far from finished yet :P

Also, I noticed that I have forgotten to install W3 Total Cache. I did installed it, but it actually doubled the loading speed of my website.

My current load speed is 2,5-3,5 seconds (YEAH!), but after using w3 total cache it became 7-8 seconds. This is really strange, I guess I will try a different plugin, because I really want to optimize the loading speed. I will try WP Super Cache and see if it gets better.

Next update in ~12 hours after the day is finished.

Thanks mate! I already explained how I get customers - only Google as of now. Read the thread pls.

Hello

I'm actually getting only 10 visitors on average (per day). And yeah, I'm getting profit... I guess the live-chat is really doing wonders, because traffic is converting really well so far /knock on wood/

If you feel like discussing some ecommerce stuff with me, just hit me up on skype. It's right under my profile picture.

Ahh.. mate. Reading that you skipped going to the gym makes my heart bleed. I'm a full blooded aesthetics body builder. I know this is a little off topic, but this is actually something I'm an expert in. I might not be able to contribute to your journey with eCommerce experience, since I don't have any, but if you ever need information on working out - I'm your guy ;)

But I'm actually quite interested in the whole concept of reselling. I might hit you up in the future, once my other projects have become stable enough to let me focus on other projects, as well.
