Ok, so I finally decided to start a journey thread. I joined BHW a few months ago, and I have spent most of my time reading and learning new stuff. This place is simply amazing. I have learned so much stuff, mostly for the past 30 days.

So far I have been kind of shy and never posted anything, because I didn't had any knowledge and I was afraid to give my public opinion about anything. Anyway, I have went through enough guides, threads and IM blogs, so that I can start my journey. I wont bother you with who I am, what I was doing so far, or anything. I have learned that people do not care about that on this board, hehe. All I'm saying is that I'm currently 22, living in a poor country, where the average salary is ~$450

    My method:

I'm going to build an e-commerce site, and will resell IM services like SEO services, graphic designs, simple website creation. I will start with only SEO services, and then I will move forward, and expand my portfolio. My plan is to make an e-commerce website that appears as professional as possible. I will try to make it as branded as possible, so when any prospect reach my website, they will think it's a big company with many employees, who are professionals and know what they are doing.

In order to achieve that, I will add live-chat support, Skype support, all emails will be answered quickly and with details, nice branded logo, and good looking/simple design. Also I will add a US phone, that when called, people will hear "Hello, you have called brand-name in our non-working hours. Please excuse us. In order to make it up for any inconvenience caused, here is a coupon code for 15% off any further purchase you made through our website [give them an actual coupon code]. Please feel free to email us it [give 3ma1l here], and one of our customer service representatives will answer you shortly. Thanks for your understanding".

In order to achieve good customer satisfaction, I will make DAMN sure I'm reselling the right services (All services will be from BHW).

    Technical stuff and SEO:

In order to get more customers, I will try to get some SEO rankings + traffic from related forums (signature) + who knows

I'm going to use Woocommerce premium (paid) theme for my e-commerce. I have already picked one I like, and also bought it already. (Yeah, I know I can get it for free, but cmon - give these guys some credit for their hard work, and also feel safer.)

As far as onpage SEO is concerned, I will write 200-600+ words unique descriptions for all the products. I will try to list as many products as possible in order to rank for multiple longtail keywords. I will also write unique descriptions for each product picture, add alt text and caption (I still don't know what caption works for, anyone care to explain? thx.)

All products will also have linked products (woocommerce is doing this easily for you). For additional inner linking, I will be linking different products in the product's descriptions. Privacy policy, terms of use, refund policy, sitemap, contact, etc. will be also added to gain some more G love. I know that writing unique descriptions for both products and images might take some time, but I want the onpage optimization to be perfect. I will most likely use the SEO plugin by YOAST and fulfill all meta descriptions/titles/etc. in order to further optimize the website. A long article of 700-1000 words will be included in the footer, I don't know if it helps, but I see many people doing it.

Please note that I'm a complete noob when we talk about SEO. I only have some basic knowledge with almost 0 experience, and I'm going to resell SEO services. Crazy, I know! However, these will be SEO services like link pyramids and other stuff. The fact that I'm a noob in SEO doesn't matter that much. I believe what matters is that there is a high demand on these kind of products on the market.

For live-chat I will be using the paid version of Zopim ($14/m per agent). Why? First is because many websites are using it, and people are used with it. Second it offers the possibility to start talking with your prospects automatically - this will improve conversions FOR SURE. Third you can connect it with your Android phone and talk with prospects while you are not in front of your PC.

As far as we are talking about offPage SEO, I still have a lot to learn. In the beginning I will be throwing just a few social signals + building links manually in related blogs + forum signatures in related forums. Before I start, I want to further improve my knowledge on how things work. Pretty much I will be using BHW for anything I don't know, because it's likely that the knowledge I need is already here.

    My goal:

I know most other journeys are having a set goal of $XXX/day. Yet, my goal is kinda different.

My goal is to become better at what I am doing. There is plenty of stuff that I still need to learn and put in practice. I'm sure that once I become better and start doing things professionally, money will come by itself. That being said, if you see me doing something wrong, or have any good resources to read - I would love to get some more. I actually love reading about IM, and learning new stuff.

Any criticism will be warmly welcome. I don't mind, really!

Anyway, this thread became much bigger than I first intended. This journey will be updated as frequently as possible, or as soon as I have something of value to say or contribute.

    My current task:

Build the website, customize it, upload products, etc.

P.S. I will be writing only in this blue-ish color, so other members can recognize me in this thread. And as any foreigner will state - "sorry for my English, it's not my first language!"

Hey, I haven't updated recently for various reasons.

    1) My site was loading pretty slow, and I found a sweet Cyber Monday VPS pr0m0. Within the transfer I lost the sql database and I had to start over with the website creation....
    2) There was a short vacation I had to take with my friends. This was planned 3 months ago, so I had to go.
    3) I'm a student, and university is pushing me big time these days. Final exams, etc.

What I have done so far:

I have uploaded about 20 products. Each product is having a unique image with the respective keyword, unique picture decription, alt text, caption, etc. Each of these products have a unique meta description, keywords, etc. - all filled in the SEO plugin
I have managed to write 25 product descriptions (Each 400-450 words long), yet these are not uploaded just yet. Will do this tomorrow or the day after.
(The efforts to make everything unique, even the product picture's description, gave some good results in a short amount of time)

What I have left to do:
Upload another 20 products, fulfill all meta data and make it unique for each product.
Upload the product descriptions I already have + write some more product descriptions.
    Start building links manually.

I have placed a few links here and there, and this resulted in some rankings for broad keywords. I even got some visitors, and thanks to the live-chat support, I convinced them to b-u-y my services (I got about 10 visitors total for yesterday and today).
Nothing big though, they all b0ugh7 some small link pyramids and blog comments, but hey - it's something :)

I consider this to be Day 1 and Day 2

    Total Revenue so far: $21.81
    Costs: ~$8.80
    Profit: ~$13

    Will be updating again soon!

P.S. The auto moderating system is preventing me from posting, thats why some words look weird.

    Ok,

Today I have managed to publish ~10 new products.

After reading the guide of phpbuilt for authority website foundation, I'm now going to edit a lot of stuff on my website. I can't post links, so if you need to find the thread - use the search.

There were more visitors coming in today, and a few made orders. There were also 2 of them who said they really much liked the support, and will come back later. They didn't come back yet, but who knows.

There isn't anything way too interesting happening today. I want to finish everything on the website, so I can start building some links manually, and hopefully see some serp boost. Right after I finish this e-commerce, I will initially start a 2nd one for different kind of services. By "finished" I mean it's fully onpage optimize, and everything is set.

    Day 3:
    Total revenue: $9.46
    Costs: $2.36
    Profit: $7.10

Most of the sold products were the smallest packages available on the store, however, the cost was pretty small on all of it, so this resulted in a higher revenue than usual. Once again - the live chat helped a lot to close these small deals.

P.S. As soon as I'm allowed to post screenshots, I will post the report page of my woocommerce.

    Day 4:

I was freakingly busy at the university today... at least I managed to get rid of 2 exams, so my January exam session will be a bit easier. Nevertheless, I managed to write 5 additional product descriptions, each counting on 400 words, and there are still descriptions that need to be written...

There were 3 people today who answered on the live chat and made a small conversation, however, noone of them ordered anything. So 0 orders for today. I spoke to 1 guy who was interested in re-selling some of my services, lmao.

I will be at the university tomorrow as well, however, I plan to have this e-commerce fully finished by Friday, so I can start working on the SEO + Project 2.

    Total Revenue: $0
    Total Cost: $0

    Total profit: $0

    Hey folks,

Haven't been updating my thread for the last 2 days, but I decided to get a short vacation, since university is over for me until February. Well, I wasn't completely doing nothing, but I haven't done a lot. One of my suppliers turned out to be quite unreliable, so I had to find a new one, which was quite easy. I also managed to negotiate better price for what I was looking, so it ended up to be a happy coincidence. Nothing interesting really, but I want to keep my journey alive, and also update you on the profit so far.

Anyway, I still have a lot of product descriptions left to be uploaded & written. I guess I won't be able to finish the shop by friday, but I'm getting closer. Also, orders are coming in already. Yet, there is nothing much really interesting, besides that I created a fanpage and it already has 3k+ fans. I will also start a G+ page, and twitter profile. So far the live-chat have shown awesome results. As I previously said, I'm using zopim, and using their paid option you can initiate a chat with your customers, and say "Hi, how can I help you?" without doing nothing. 50%+ of my visitors are responding to the chat, however, I must say that some of them seem to be just curious whether or not there is a live person online, or just a bot.

Here are the stats for the previous 2 days, all traffic coming from Google.

    Day 5:
    Total Revenue: $9
    Total Cost: $3.50

    Total Profit: $5.50

    Day 6:
    Total Revenue: $15
    Total Cost: $5.40
    Total Profit: $9.60

Ho-Ho-Ho! Christmas is almost here, and my girlfriend is going to visit her family for a week. HELL YEAH!

I'm still working on uploading product descriptions, writing product descriptions, and optimizing the onpage SEO. It's taking a lot of my time, but I'm trying to do it really good, inner link a lot, and make content that is humanly readable and informative at the same time. I know these efforts will pay off later.

It's day 7 since I started counting my stats, and I have generated a total of ~$69.45 in sales which is motivating. Nothing really interesting, other than that a customer came and chatted with me for 2 hours!!! on the live-chat, in which time I would have done something more productive.

    Day 7:
    Total Revenue: ~$14.50
    Total Cost: ~2.50

    Total Profit: $12

I decided to start training again, and today was my day #3 on the gym. Currently experiencing a great pain in the muscles, you know... when you start again after being AFK from the gym for awhile. :D Together with my journey Im trying to start living a more healthy life. Btw I'm giving up the blue color.

I new $day record, nothing significant, but well motivating. A returning client made 2 orders. They are all still ordering the smallest packages. Started working on Project 2 as well, because I found a great template, that would fit perfectly.

Almost no SEO is done to the project whatsoever, except my efforts to make a really good onpage optimization - I guess it's working so far. Right now google is loving me for almost nothing, what I have is a few links (like 2) + some social signals + 5k words unique content. Also, the traffic is converting higher than 10% for now, which is very high for any ecommerce. As soon as I get the ability to post pictures, I will upload some graphs.

    Day 8:
    Total Revenue: ~$28
    Total Cost: ~$4.50
    Total Profit: ~23.50

Nothing really interesting today, just gonna update the revenue part.

P.S. I started using serpbook, allmost all my keywords are in top100, besides my MAIN keyword. Will post images of revenue + serpbook stats as soon as I'm able to post images.

    Day 9:
    Total Revenue: $2
    Total Cost: $0.50
    Total Profit: $1.50

Once again, close to zero SEO done whatsoever. Purely G loving me at this point + lots of unique content

I guess I can post images now. Since yesterday I started using serpbook. Currently only using the free trial, but will update soon, so I have a larger keyword database. These are all BUYER keywords, so some of my targeted keywords have a very low search demand, but it's OK.

I will post some more graphs, hoping they will be interesting, as I really start feeling like forever alone guy in my journey, haha =)

I removed some of my very low cost services, as noone of my competitors is selling packages that small, it will be just pain in the ass in the longterm. Also many customers will just try it, and never use it again, so I still have low cost products, but not as cheap as $1

    Day #10
    Total Revenue: $0
    Total Cost: $0
    Total Profit: $0

This is the revenue graph for day 1 - day 10

Sory, but currently you can't see the graph with included cost of items + exact revenue. I'm getting a plugin to do that very soon.

Total Sales: $98.88, which averages almost $10/day in sales. Not any close of being enough, but pretty motivating, taking into account that there is still some work to be done on this shop. Also the average $ per sale is almost $5, which is also great. Now after I removed the smallest low cost packs, I believe this will go higher.

I already have 2 returning clients, one of whom have already ordered 3 times, and will be ordering more (at least he promised, hehe!). Will post traffic stats later today or tomorrow, I need to figure out how to remove my IP from being counted on the visits...

This is the current loadspeed of the website. I know it's already good, but believe I can make it load even faster!

OK, I think I managed to remove my IP from being counted. If you are wondering what kind of software is this - I'm using Yandex Metrika. I really like it for several reasons: 1 - no g000gle software on your website, 2 - all the cool stuff from analytics is available, 3 - some new widgets like "click map" - you get something like a heatmap and actually see where your visitors are clicking.

I also wanted to update you that I have installed a "viral coupon" plugin. It basically gives N% discount to customers who share their cart. You can get the plugin from themeforest, it's called "viral coupon - Like, tweet or G+ to get a discount" - just search for it, I can't post any links just yet.

Stats for Visits, Page views, Visitors, New (new visitors), bounce rate, time on site
Still very low amount of visitors, averaging about 10 per day, yet some orders are coming in, which is awesome!

Statistics of conversion rates for the same period. On 20th it reached 20% conv rate, ho-ho-ho! The live-chat have definitely played it's role to see such a high conversion rates.

    GL My Friend!

    Merry Christmas everybody!
I wish the BHW people all THE BEST, and ONLY THE BEST!

Let 2014 be a better for ALL of you blackhatter brothers and sisters, and as Jazz says "Lets ge't busy"!
I have learned so much from this awesome forum, it's just unexplainable. I'm already trying to give back the community - made 2 small shares already in the other sections, and maintaining the journey, which I really hope to be helpful for you people.

    Now on business

Today I was browsing some online blogs, and found an article about people in the USA. It was some guy who was telling about his thoughts of the USA, and his opinion about other people. It was pretty interesting, however, what I found interesting was that he mentioned that the prices in the USAs are quite "illogical"... well they are illogical for us, because things doesn't work that way here.

What he said was that if you buy a beer it will cost you $4 or something, however, if you buy 6 beers (you guys call it six-pack I think?) it will cost you $14. Then if you buy 4 six pack packages (4 * 14 = 56) it will cost you $33. Ok, since people in the USA are used to buy things with this pricing pattern, I should optimize the costs of my products, and apply what I learned. Well it's a strategy that a lot of hypermarkets in the US are doing, so I guess it should be a winning one, if I get my customers to buy more expensive packages :)

Here is the revenue update, let me know if you have any questions or ideas to discuss here

    Day #11 - 24.12.2013

    Total Revenue: $4
    Total Cost: $0.75
    Total Profit: ~3.20

People in my niche aren't very likely to buy my stuff on the day before Christmas I guess, but still I made a sale! :)

Day #12 - 25.12.2013 (not finished yet here)

    Total Revenue: $1
    Total Cost: $0.50
    Total Profit: $0.50

P.S. I ordered a small drip feed package from BHW. 48 hours later, there is a SMALL drop in ~70% of the keywords - mostly -5 ; - 35 places so far, two of them totally droped out of top200. Any idea when I should consider stopping the drip feed?

I'm a bit tired, and nothing pretty interesting happened today, except a quite deep talk with a very wealthy-looking client. Hope he gets some orders soon :)

    Total Revenue: $2

    Total Cost: $0.2

Don't let the low sales bring you down man! Shit like that often happens during vacations where people don't spend time on the Internet.

I have to say OP, your thread is pretty motivating to me. I'll start reselling services after I finish my PPD journey. I'm also pretty surprised about the lack of comments on tis thread. Cummon guyz! Give this hardworking fella some support! :D
