Pardon to see your plight,
Why don't you ring the cops up or get an established business contact to threaten them?
If the above method didn't work, just post in on Social Media Platforms and they're in trouble big time
Note: Remember to state proof of work and any receipts/invoices

It doesn't matter if it is $100 or $10K, it's money There is a ton of great advice in this thread. I would avoid small claims as well as negative SEO (this could make you liable).
What I would do write them a stern email and make sure you CC as many higher ups in the company as possible. Let them know that you also do reputation management and you will make sure that people will know that they don't pay their bills. You can always use review sites as well as Ripoffreport and complaintsboard.com and explain that you will make sure they show up in the search engine anytime someone searches their companies name. Make them understand it will cost them a lot more than $300.
If it comes down to that, hit me up on Skype and I will help you out getting those ROR and Complainsboard listings ranking high.

Nothing bothers me more than people/businesses not paying their bills and when you get into big account type stuff, it isn't unusual for companies to take advantage of you. This being said, if you make them realize that homey don't play that, they usually fold and pay. Most companies/people don't understand that your name/brand can be easily tarnished by a few $5 Fiver gigs. Your brand/name is everything online and one bad review can literally cost you your livelihood. Make them understand this.
One of my mentors said something to me once that has stuck with me throughout my IM career. He said; "fast money makes fast friends". There couldn't be any more truth to that.

Haha, I've seen this before. Usually you have to get into the $xx,xxx amount owed if you want to send this guy. He is in England too. I am sure there are guys like him here in the US.

Did you write a contract with them? If so you're in luck and you can sue them. If you don't have a contract that explains why they wont pay you, they don't have to. Even the richest people will scam you if they can get away with it, every penny counts. Better luck next time, make sure you have them sign a contract/ agreement.

It would not me defamation if its true. They cant do anything to you
Written agreement = your getting paid
non written agreement then you have to have a great relationship with them to get the money.
i don't think its a good idea to sue your clients for non payment every time .. Otherwise people will find these situations online when searching your name ... The bigger you get the better protections you need to put in place up front.

A friend of mine did this and a company gave him 6,000$ of work on his car for free. Granted, he did some pretty over the top things like outranking them for their own company in google with a site talking about how they scam people, and did it under an offshore host/different name. I wouldn't ever go as far as he did bc they spells legal trouble but taking it online/publicly can make a difference i think for sure.
